Space Invaders (Bally 1979)
 
Features: Both FSS and FS tables, 3K playfield, 2K backglass, day and night user controls.
 

Two POV's are provided for Full Screen, and 1 POV for FSS for 16:9 format.
Use the Day/Night slider to increase/decrease table light intensity (don't go beyond second notch).
 
A big thanks to unclewilly for his VP9 version that made this conversion a snap, An even bigger thanks to Haunt Freaks for the B2S, POV, and his front end graphix work.
Additionally thanks goes out to the VPX Dev team.

don't forget to use Haunts POV specifically for widebodies. mine is just vanilla FS.

I just changed z-Offset  to -400, (The table and backglass were not in full view, this lowered the table and backglass so to see top of backglass.) and this is what looks like on my DT setup, without altering anything else.

yeah that was a tough call for me, Do I make FSS for Full desktop, or windowed desktop, I chose windowed  720x1024 , then do I provide a 4th POV, if I do it might get even more confusing.

FS users have always had a working dB2S backglass in view for all their FS tables. While us DT users really don't have many choices if we want to see a working dB2S backglass on same screen as table. So I actually think DT users will really appreciate these FSS versions, as they can be played in DT view with both table and working  backglass on same screen!! And really great for the 1 screen FS users with rotated single monitor!! (What these FSS were made for.)

interesting idea xenon... put the DT/FSS as you have done with the backglass under the DT checkbox and the official FSS in the FSS checkbox, but both with the backglass... I think you got something here, that I never really reflected on. and one POV for reverse compatibility with old DT.

Drop Target Reset FIX

For those who have not modded the table new update 1.02 is live..

For those who may have modded the table a lot here is the script below:

 

change all of this:

Table looks awesome!

 

I wish Bally had done a lot better with the sound scheme. Didn't represent the arcade game at all. I hit certain shots in a certain order and thought I heard the mexican hat dance being played.

 

Maybe a custom ROM is in order?

I'm playing in DT mode but the scores don't appear. I've seen this before but I forgot what the solution was and I couldn't find the solution in search yet.

To get the DMD window to appear For DT view like StevOz example above...

 

Go to Line 327 in the table script, and you will see...

 

        .hidden = 1

 

 

Change to..

 

        .hidden = 0
