Does it have a cab mode?  It seems to me that they've been avoiding that question.

I do see that they do have it. You do have to go through the "please authorize me" process again, but it shouldn't have any pain to it. I just sent my request in.

I thought the cab mode would be automatic per Zen? I haven't tried it as my TV is out of the cab this week redoing some interior stuff :-(

If I have to reactivate I stored my code on the cloud. I just tried it on my Alienware laptop connected to a 28" monitor which has a GTX1060 and FX3 is pretty awesome! I'll have to spring for one of the new packs.

Nice, i've played some AVP table games and i like dynamic lighting and shadows.

Btw. if you have FX2 cabinet mode enabled on same steam account then FX3 will start in cabinet mode by itself.

One day i'll build Vitalik statue out of used AMD gpu's.

I actually had some issues this morning where cabinet mode didn't automatically come up on the desktop machine. I got home and tried it on the pinball computer, and it came up fine, although I did go ahead and start FX2 before I even started FX3 just to be sure.

They weren't avoiding it at all? Wasn't it answered in their initial FAQ?

Anyway, they do have cab support. Got it all working last night for me in about 10 minutes. Think it even imported my cab settings from FX2.

Only think I haven't got working yet is PinDMDv3 with dmdext. Tried "tricking" it to think it was PinballFX2 running but it didn't quite work. Think it should be doable tho because it appears to work exactly the same.

All tables updated in PinballX to be FX3 except the 2 south parks, MsSplosion and PvZ.

Neat.. I like that the tables are again something that could not be really created in real life.. And all three look pretty interesting..

Some tables haven't transferred over to Pinball FX3 (yet). Friend of mine said south park didn't show on his list of tables.

So if one installs FX3 (or previous) for the first time on a PC, you have to order a code to enable cab support? How to order, via email?

Not sure if I like the physics, but the themes are looking interesting so why not try for ten bucks.

The South Park tables, they couldn't get the licensing updated to allow them to bring them forward, so they're stuck in FX2. There's a few other tables involved as well, those are just the two that I have unlocked.

There are bugs to work out. Like others I was experiencing ball freezes on some tables. This was on my Alienware laptop, i7 with GTX1060.

I wish I could get into the Zen tables. They're innovative, creative, and look quite nice. I realize their physics engine isn't trying to replicate the real thing, but I find the gameplay too "flat." No disrespect to Zen or its fans. Just not my thing.

Have anyone been able to launch Pinball fx3 from pinball X?  I attempted to use the same settings as pbfx2 (with the new pbfx3 paths) but haven't had much luck.

Thanks!

Did you get your V3 working? My cab is apart this week so I haven't had a chance to check it out.

I hear you. I grew up with EM machines but I love a lot of the 80s and 90s tables. Zen tables are gorgeous but are more like video games posing as pinball. Not dissing them either. My sons and grandkids love them though.

Its on my list for the weekend to try out.  Well, more precisely, launch from the command line, then try PinballX.
