I saw it asked back in 2014, and the only answer was "use a joystick", but I'm wondering if there are any other games that will work in portrait on a 2 screen cab with flipper, magnasave, start, and launch buttons. That's all I got, and it works well for pinball (the main reason I built the cab), but after playing some Ice Cold Beer, I was hoping that you all might have some more game recommendations for a low button count cab.

Space Invaders.

You could actually just go into MAME and sort it by controller type and look for the 2 button games.  I don't think there are very many that match that with a vertical screen.

If a game is meant to be played with a joystick, then it's just not the same when you try and play them with pincab buttons. :(

That's why I ended up with a joystick and fire buttons in my custom lockdown.  Some people have made an additional box for the joy/fire and simply plug it in & sit it on top of their glass when wanting to play MAME.  Worth a thought?

Puzzle Bobble aka Bust A Move
Use Flippers for left/right movement and magnasave for shooting.

Ah okay, this is obviously not a vertical game...

I use the MameLay+ patch to have an Arcade-Cab-lookalike overlay over every Mame game.
This fills the free space on the vertical screen nicely.
