I recently noticed there was no DT version of mistermixers Blue and Red LED FS MOD.

I want to thank him for allowing mods without permission. (BIG THANKS SIR!!!)

Well I made 2 versions.

The first has 4 different BG's to choose from and the table is narrow, to help see the BG.

This is the default BG..

capture78_t.png

capture222_t.png

capture313_t.png

capture411_t.png

The other is for more of a table view, and not so much for BG. (No other BGs to choose from on this one.)

capture512_t.png

I also might remove the orange sticker that is on the Apron. I can move it to the side of table as a decal. Or make a bigger sign that says the same as sticker, but just put it off to the side of table.(So the Authors still get there much deserved recognition.)

Well after I finished these. I started playing them quite a bit. I then noticed that the RPG mode on the Apron was not functioning correctly.

Sometimes the ball would disappear after only letting you fire off a couple of shots, or just froze in place and can't shoot it.

Well I have fixed it!!

Now all the shots fire correctly. No more losing the ball. No more Ball stuck in place.

I have PM'ed Groni to ask for permission to mod his version also, and include this RPG fix as well. He was last on in May, so it may be awhile before he replies.

I will upload the Blue and Red LED mods later tonight, as I still want to check other things on this table.

What do you think?

Would there be a need to fix the FS version to? Or do the cabinet people use a dB2S backglass? and don't use the apron one?

Should I fix the FS version also?

Let me know all you cabinet users out there.

Hope you all like it.

I am hoping that GRONI gives me permission to MOD his VP9 DT version of T3.

I am in the process of rotating his DT images for FS use and came across the reel images. (Particularly the head of the TX terminator.)

You can't just rotate these reel images for FS use. you have to cut each image piece of the reel and then rotate for FS and then rejoin them.

Here is a pic of the new TX head I am working on..

00-copy-copy_t.png

And here is the reel I created.

The lights start in neck and go up from there.

bheadzzz_t.png

What do you think?

Also I read somewhere in the forums here of some program the Authors use to create these reels, but I can't find it again.

Could someone please direct me to the proper reel making program?

(Preferably a free one.)

I am having trouble lining up the pics in reel and so the head looks like it is actually shaking when activated.

Thanks for any help or info.

It is appreciated.

Have a great day.

Wow, your mod works very good and makes a lot of fun.

What do you think about a new pinball table DT size?

These mods are really cool. I love the fast pasted action of the T3 and hope for a good FS upgrade of this awesome table.

Here is what the FS versions I have been working on look like.

This is Groni's DT version converted to FS version.

I don't own a cabinet and don't play FS versions, but I thought I would try and help the Cabinet Users.

I used the apron and arm and arnold head from mistermixers Blue and Red LED version.

The Flashers and the Heads are still Reels. I am still a beginner and am not sure how to make working Flashers. As a matter of fact, this was my first time working with reels.

I had to cut and rotate each reel and put back together for FS use.

Rotated and moved decals.

Added new Metal texture to ramps.

Also Added 2 new versions with new TX head and TX head with neck.

Made Day and Night Mods.

I am waiting on Groni to give me permission to upload these Mods.

He was last on this site in May. I PM'ed him a week ago. Hope he is OK and healthy. Still no message from him.

Here is what the mods look like so far...

Fantasy TX head and neck..

Fantasy TX head....

capture513_t.png

capture6a_t.png

Original ...

capture314_t.png

capture412_t.png

What do you think?

Should get us by until some expert makes a VPX version.

Is there a dB2S Backglass for this? Or only mistermixers B2S.exe?

Thank you for your time.

I like this table (on its own and without comparing it with T2) it is fun to play and has nice sound effects, and I think it is a bit underrated.
So it is always good to see new stuff or builds for it.

Regarding to your question, I like the fantasy TX head (without neck).

By the way, when I play the real machine, I always find Arnie's head looks cheap.

Unfortunalety they really decreased the overall look with it. Maybe it would be cool to mod Arnie a bit too :)

I like the original best too. I just couldn't get used to that new head, and the one with neck and head never looked right no matter what I did to it.

The only reason I made these mods was because I saw only one version of T3 available for cabinet users, the red and blue LED mod made by mistermixer. His version is great, but the sound effects he used drowns out the rom sounds. (I guess I know how people felt about the NFL Mods I made! and why Sliderpoint added script to turn off the music I added to NFL Mods, in his VPX version.)

I will put these mods away, and move on to my next pinball project, until I hear from GRONI.  If anyone has seen or heard from him since last May, and can contact him, maybe the process will move quicker. (Maybe a close friend of his?)

If he does give permission, I will probably only upload the original version FS Day and Night Mods, and keep the head mods for myself. (Them other heads just don't look right.)

Have a great night!!

xenon - are you making this for VPX it looks very cool. the darker playfield will really make the lights pop when they turn on. I dont think I played the VP9 version. So just asking. Terminator 3 was the best of the series I really enjoyed the funny part where Terminator puts on the goofy glasses. Sort of making fun of itself. The Big Champion Crane scene was very cool probably the best scene in all the Terminators.

This is not a VPX version.

This is GRONI's VP9 DT version, Converted to FS. I am still just a beginner and am unsure how to make a VPX table from scratch. I read alot of what 32assassin wrote about turning a VP9 table into a VPX table and exporting objects out of VP9 and importing into VPX, but I still can't figure it out.(Yet!!) I will leave the VPX version to the experts until I learn more.

This is just to get us by until one of them experts makes a VPX version.

(If GRONI gives me the permission.)

On a side note...

I am also currently making NVRAM's for the Profanity Roms that need to be activated through Service Menu on Terminator 2 and Demolition Man. South Park doesnt need Profanity activated through Service menu. It is activated on start up with Profanity ROM.

Just to help those who can't figure out the Service Menu's.

Also you won't need to adjust sound as I have turned it all the way up for these NVRAM's.

(So the sound is 100% at table start, instead of having to raise the volume through service menu.)

(And the Profanity is turned on from start of table.)

Carry on.

FS conversion looks really nice with new Arny head and another TX head :). Can't wait to give it a spin. I play the real one at least once a month and love the intensity of the table and the red caps flashing all the time. Feels like the table is on fire or something.

What do you think?

Yeah, the TX head looks really perfect.  Maybe Arnie needs to spin a bit, like he would look to the flippers instead out of the (table) glas
