Hi I've noticed that on certain VPX tables (even on the latest 10.2 build) that the flippers are very "sticky" i.e. they only seem to actuate on every other or even every third press of the shift keys. Javier's recent release of Last Action Hero is so badly afflicted with this problem it's just about unplayable. That's no criticism of his excellent work as other authors' tables have the problem as well, but is there any way of overcoming this problem. Some complex and hi-res tables (e.g. JP Salas's VPX version of Cirqus Voltaire) seem immune from the problem, so I can't see how it can be a lack of PC horsepower.

I don't get this problem in any version of VP9, only VP10.2 Some tables seem fine, others are unplayable because of this problem.

I read somewhere here that you need a FPS rate of at least 80: I'm getting around 200fps on my PC (Core i7-6700 with a NVIDIA GTX970 with latest drivers and 16gB RAM), so does anoyone know why am I getting this problem?

This is driving me nuts!

Hi GreenKnight,

do You experience every time with the same tables? Does using another VPX build change the matter?

I got reports of sticking flippers for my Junk Yard too but I cannot replicate the behaviour.

Thanks Mike, I tried renamimg an older B2S backglass for LAH to that required and whilst the table backglass did show up, it only marginally improved the sticky flipper problem.

It does seem to be the same tables that cause the problem every time. I can play other graphics intensive tables such as JPSalas's VPX version of Cirqus Voltaire without any sticky flipper problem at all.

The sticky flippers problem only occurs in VPX (even with the latest build) and on most but not all tables.

BTW, B2S server is set to disabled in Controller.txt yet B2S still loads... why?

Would uninstalling B2S solve the problem? I only have one monitor, but I guess the tables would not play without B2S running.. correct?

In the preferences under "Keys, Nudge and DOF" you can disable B2S to see, if something is changed. The tables run also without B2S.

I have an older PC and not the best gfx-card and most of the tables under VPX run very smooth.

Sorry for the delay in replying, but been in headless chicken mode here for the last 2 weeks.

I can say with certainty that disabling B2S as Joey2001 advised has eliminated the sticky flipper problem.

Thanks all.

Now if only I could solve the problem just as easily of my Netgear D7000 DSL router not playing ball with my ISP's system! :D
