Good evening all,

New at Visual Pinball. I downloaded and installed Visual Pinball v9.0.2 using the installer wizard. Downloaded The Simpsons Pinball Party V.1.0 to Tables folder. Also downloaded Simpsons rom file to VPinMame\Rom folder. I run the game and during game play I don't see any flippers. Am I missing a file? My screen resolution is set at 1024x768x32.

This has happen to other Visual Pinball v9 tables I have downloaded. No flippers show. What specs does my PC need to run at?

Thank you for your time.

Abel

I did as you said. I get error message: "Could not create offscreen surface." and then it kicks me out of Visual Pinball.

It sounds as if you're running a VP8 table in VP9, perhaps.

There are two versions which run tables only designed for that particular version.

Please download VP8 and try the table in that.

If I'm wrong about the version, try reducing the resolution setting in the preferences within the editor.

It worked in Visual Pinball v8! I guess I will use only version 8 from now on. Thank you so much for your help!

You can use VP9, if you meet the system requirements, just be sure to use VP9 tables.

If the enable hardware rendering doesn't work, try changing the color of the flippers to black - had this problem of table flippers being transparent with artifacting while stationary. Changing the color seemed to fix this for me using VPinball_903

Flipper options need to be changed

Open a table and Click on Options at the far left. Then click on one of the flipper images to bring up
"Flippers" on the right side. Under colors and formatting,,,,
Change Rubber thickness to 5, Change Rubber Offset height to 8, and change Rubber width to 34.

Do this for both left and right flipper,,,,,,,,then do a save.

I hope this works for You..........smile.gif

Glad this worked out but you should know that VP9 tables are in
the name of it so you
don't use 8.right.
I just downloaded it here.I'll try mine in 9.

4.3 listing is VP9
Be sure to save a copy of your table files in seperate 8 and 9 backup folders
and maybe a cdrw disc as i do.
Most VP9 tables have it in the name as i posted.
Most but not The Simpsons 1.1.Nice table,Thanks.
Have VP9 in VP9 tables.Look where your getting them.Do what i was adviced if you havn't.
Use just 1 location for 8 and 9 loading and Setup of Rom and other Paths. You can only have 1 to use in VP8 or VP9.More details if needed.
Uncheck all Ball Physics in start menu.
