Awesome! Are you back out of retirement JP?

I'm afraid not. I was asked to test the new VPX when it went beta, and I have tried to use all the new objects and features in these tables. And I wanted to make some different tables so other authors may see how they can use those new features. But now there are other authors who know about 3D design and they will push VPX to new heights :) I'm terrible at designing 3D objects, but the graphic in the TOTAN genie was not so bad :)

"Retired" means I won't be making a new table every 2 weeks, as I used to, only one table from time to time, but I'm still here if someone needs help.

Yes, I should like to make it look more like RFM, but destruk tried that already and it went C&D :)

At this point I think its more like the people trying to enforce the "happy birthday" song they bought the "rights" to. These pins are not being reproduced, and the guys that own the rights bought the WMS name from IPB I believe. So they have no stake in anything other than trying to make money off of a defunct technology that they are NOT trying to reproduce. Hell, I dont even believe they are supporting anyone that owns one! At least NAMCO brings out "PacMAN" style games so they have a right to enforce their IP.

Personally I think its just a power trip.

I was at Illinois Pinball in 2008 after the "buyout" and saw unfinished Pin2000 cabs and playfields still NIB as well as a BBB and a whole slew of the original artwork files. It would be great if the current owners of the WMS name would actually do something with this other than just look for IP violations.

But as this topic has been rolled over multiple times - end of my rant.

The c&d is the problem my idea was use binbox in a vmware make the windo trasparent and write a little paralel driver for vpinmame

FreeMason did this exact thing as a proof of concept. Because of past c&d, the demo only demonstrates that data could be passed from nucore to VP. Nothing developed beyond that. This was described at the 'other' site.

And nobody can make a c&d when you write a paralel driver they didnt can forbidd it because you not use anything from the orginal pin the forbidden software ist nucore or the pinbox software

I have a stupid question. I put this in my cabinet but for some reason it looks completely flat or 2 dimensional. Why is that?

Is this the new way tables are going to be, no longer desktop tables and cabinet tables?

Ok thanks. I can't seem to get it to look as good as the old VP9 version. Hopefully there will be some VPX tables made for cabinets.
