But I wouldn't hide the logo. Yes it might be annoying, but Chris the "inventor" should still get credit. If you ever shoot a video, for any social media, please make sure the water mark is visible. Thank you.

The logo is a terrible thing that should never have been there. What game have you ever played that constantly reminds you of what it is?

I agree it gets in the way, but it was his program. It wasn't nobody's business to take it off. Do you want somebody to mod your tables. Which is your work, without permission, or without credit to you. The work he put into fp probably wasn't easy, since we have yet to have a program to do what it could. And don't get me wrong, i love vp but, Honestly I think fp blows vp10 out of the water. But it still doesn't make it right. I don't know the whole story but, I would be upset to. Now instead of having two great pinball games. We got one good one, and crappy call of duty.

If someone films it for a let's play, or any other promotional purpose.

I'm also a fan of FP it does look amazing.. (of course when the right author is behind the table)... but its an abandoned project on the interface end, but it doesn't have to be... there are hard core FP people that would take that project over in a second... but that cant 100% happen until its released as open source... sure people have gotten it better using BAM and 2.5 update... but until it gets a real physics upgrade, ROM control and now a new lighting controls, its never going to get to move much farther than it is today.... its a sin because it has really talented authors to script those tables 100% without roms, its unreal

again I cant see anything changing, lots of butt hurt goin on....

I wonder if the author would sell the source code to the community? ie: pay him to open source it. It would need a fair amount of money I guess.

he makes not a penny holding it hostage... and it isnt like its not already being modded behind his back... all releasing the code would do is ease the minds of the people willing to take over and make the necessary updates... and of course it would speed up that process....

I think FP had should be the first software to emulate pinball. If a Dev team could stay behind the software to tune up physics, rom control... it hadn't rivals ... It's really sad Chris stopped to work on it and doesn't give permission to work on his marvelous creature. It's like have one of the best thing in the world and leave it on your car box outdoor covered by dust and leaves...

I don't get it. So the guy is still alive and sits on this for... what exactly? Butthurt? Sooner or later someone will reverse-engineer the thing and throw it out there, might as well stop beeing an ass and release the source yourself, sheeh. Some people are thick in the head....

There were other developers involved so not sure how all that works legally, but yes, it should have gone open source. The Newton physics he used is now open source and hopefully has improved over the years.

Although this question is several years old, the answer to the question is simple for those of you that don't know.  You open the BAM menu, arrow down to "Addons" and press enter.  Then arrow down to "Hide FP logo" and press enter to turn the option on.

Another method involves replacing the FP executable which not only removes the logo but also the FP splash screen that appears when you load the table.  You can download the replacement FP executable here:

Hadn't heard that one, I think he may have been in negotiations with a virtual pinball manufacturer at some stage but not sure what it led to as I seem to remember we were all worried that it would result in FP being canned. Last I heard I think he was coding for the Australian govt but that was 10 years back and my memory could be wrong (it's also not listed on his linked in page but there may be a reason for that). You can find out more of what he has been up to at https://www.linkedin...nalSubdomain=au

Dont think so
At one time, i think there was going to be some use of FP, in part, but not as in bought out or anything.
Probably more along the lines of licensing use of tech?

Kinda like say Raven licensing use of an Id created engine to make a Raven game
sort of, maybe not the best scenario.

Not really sure what happened to FP, i kinda get the impression the guy said screw it, im done with this
and called it quits, but no idea what made that happen

If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

That's basically it as far as I know. Chris still owns all rights to FP... but I think that period was a bad time for him, so he said he was done with it and moved on.
