.png alpha layer not saving

After importing and setting the material inside Unit3D you have to fiddle with the alpha slider & colors to get it to work.

 

It's weird like there's a magic point in the slider which enables the alpha channel.

 

After you manage to get it to show correctly when you reload the table it doesn't show and you have to go through the same process.

Hi.

The "magic" you talk about is an "optimization": if alpha is 1.0 (opaque), then the selected shader does not handle transparency.

Thus, if you have alphas in pngs, you will need to set it very close to 1.0. 

 

But it should reload. If not, there is probably a bug in the writing/reading. I'll check that...

 

Hum: If I remember right, doing it in FP's transparency solves the problem...

Thanks, this did it. Setting the transparency slider to 0 in FP was good enough for saving.
