File Name: Nemesis (Peyper 1986) FS VP9.9

File Submitter: mfuegemann

File Submitted: 21 Apr 2015

File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): mfuegemann
Manufacturer: Other - Pinball
Year: 1986
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

This is Nemesis by Peyper, Full Screen edition.

Akiles sent me images of the playfield and the plastics as well as a gameplay video, he and his friends Makeror, Santy and Cisco took from a real Nemesis, they had access to. Other resources of this table have been very hard to find or of bad quality. I did a redraw of the covered playfield areas. The manual was availiable but as good as the one of Wolf Man with incorrect lamp and switch numbers. The two tables behave quite similiar though, so it was not that difficult to find out the correct assignments.
The table rules are included in the table info and as a text file.

Additional thanks go to Fuzzel for providing the lightmap images for the inserts, Kodiac for the flipper primitive routine and to JPSalas for the ball gates.

Configurable options at the top of the script are
  - GI brightness
  - FreePlay (faked)

I added a DIP switch menu to control the Match Feature, coin settings and the number of balls. You can access it via hitting F6. Please reset the table with F3 after any changes.

The table comes with the new configuration file code by gtxjoe that creates/reads cController.txt from the User directory. Just change the variable cController to 0 and the table is looking for the configuration file.

I will upload a B2S backglass at the same time as the FS table. If You need a static backglass, You can download the preview image there. A playfield image and a wheel are included in the download file.

Remark: The ROM values are not saved when the game is switched off (credits and high scores).

Have fun and please use the support topic to post any findings and suggestions.

Michael

Looks great looking forward to trying it out. I must say Michael, aside from doing excellent work, I love that are going for these relatively (to me) unknown tables. I have obviously been missing out on some near real pins. My thanks to you for fixing that via these VP recreations.

Hi Loafer,

thank You for Your kind words. I love to go a bit off the beaten track. For me it is thrilling to help bringing long standing WIPs to life or tackle some unknown Pins. It is also quite cool to solve the lamp and switch number assignments by watching a gameplay video and testing all possible switch combinations.

As Akiles described, we still may have the opportunity to get our hands on the real machines. Let some more years pass and those unknown Pinballs would be gone and will not be remembered.

Regards

Michael

Yes I must also join in thanKing Akiles. There are many tables build of late that wouldn't exist without your seriously great pics. Many thanks!

Thanks guys without your knowledge and passion we couldn't play these wonderful tables ... I wish to be able to build one by myself but I'm totally lost with all that stuff.
