File Name: Arena (Gottlieb 1987) FS VP9.9

File Submitter: mfuegemann

File Submitted: 24 Jan 2015

File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): mfuegemann
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1987
ROM: Link to ROM
Media Pack: Link to Media Pack
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

This is Arena by Gottlieb, Full Screen edition.

Akiles provided me with pictures of the table. I had to combine parts of images to recreate the playfield and as there were no images of a stripped playfield availiable, I had to make up large areas.
Again I had no manual, so the VP8 table made by MNPG and Moonchild gave me the correct switch and light numbers. Finally the Guru sent me the parts of the manual, that enabled me to add some missing lights and Triggers.
Additional Thanks go to Fuzzel for providing the lightmap images for the inserts, Kodiac for the flipper primitive routine, JPSalas for the fading flasher code and to Inkochnito for the DIP switch settings code.

Please be aware that You need to adjust the Novelty setting within the DIP switch menu to "normal" if You want to collect the Extra Ball (F6 opens the Dip switch menu).
The table comes with the new configuration file code by gtxjoe that creates/reads cController.txt from the User directory. Just change the variable cController to 0 and the table is looking for the configuration file.

Have fun and please use the support topic to post any findings and suggestions.

Michael

Hi,

I just uploaded a new version (1.0a) with adjusted Flipper Oblique Correction to make the ramp shot a bit easier.

And the Desktop version is finished too.

Regards

Michael

Hi Arngrim,

let's see. As soon as VP10 is availiable, I will update all of my tables.

Regards

Michael

Is the PinDMD working? Or is it just me?

Hi BlackPredator72,

the display is the normal Pinmame window. Maybe You can hit F3 to reset the table or set the X/Y coordinates within the script to 0/0.
