File Name: Gamatron (Pinstar 1985-Sonic)

File Submitter: dboyrecords

File Submitted: 14 Oct 2014

File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): dboyrecords
TAB
Destruk
Manufacturer: Other - Pinball
Year: 1985
Permission to MOD?: Yes, without approval

Rotated VP8 desktop with permission. Testing and tweaking by kiwi. DOF by arngrim. New PF/lights from IPDB.
I listed it as (Pinstar 1985-Sonic) because the table was built as the Pinstar but then I saw that the layout was the same and the pics were better for the Sonic version. You can read more at IPDB. I added Sonic version of BG as well. So, if you're trying to beat randr, you could technically have the Pinstar and the Sonic version ;)

dboy, i told you gamatron rom is the right one ;)

I made the dof config based on that one and in fact the switches are not exactly the same in flight2 than gamatron, so definitely use this rom instead

this is a much better version than the one i worked with :)

Crap and cool! Sorry arn, I know how you love changes! ;)
I never thought to look here, IPDB does not have rom for Sonic version so I naively thought it was same as Pinstar. Oops.

I mentioned Flight 2000 because of the following IPDB quote: A binary comparison of the software indicates that it is 100% identical to Flight 2000's software.

Thanks again and sorry for confusion. I may still be a little confused ;)

no it is not the same, flight2000 share switches with multiple objects like lanes, or targets where gamatron has a switch for each object of the playfield, flight2000 has 2 bumpers, gamatron has 1 so the solenoid definition is not the same

See, you are smart. I was recently declared legally stupid. I hear it is fatal but not contagious. Ignorance is bliss, right?
