File Name: Atlantis (Gottlieb 1975) FS

File Submitter: loserman76

File Submitted: 07 Sep 2014

File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): Bodydump
Loserman76
Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Year: 1975
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

Before the customary credit list, I have to say that without Bodydump being willing to take on the redraw of this table (plus he took the time to change stuff over to primitives!) that this table would not be such a beautiful final product that it is right now. I (and I'm sure a lot of folks out there who will now get to enjoy this table) appreciate all of your work (not just this one).

 **** REQUIRES VP 9.9x *****

'*
'*  Thanks to the following for their contributions (whether they know it or not!)
'*  If I have missed anyone, let me know as this table would not exist without the
'*  folks in the community.
'*
'*  JPSalas - gameroom backdrop
'*  EalaDubhSidhe - table object templates
'*  Black - HS save/load routines
'*  Inkochnito - scorecards/instruction cards
'*  Pinuck - Gottlieb chimes and score motor routines
'*  Herweh - directB2S designer and tools
'*  JimmyFingers - rolling ball and other objects' sound routines
'*  GNance - PostIt High Score and Option menus
'*
The options menu is now available by holding down the left flipper key for about 2 seconds when a game is not in progress. Once opened, left flipper moves between the different menu items and the right flipper goes through that item's available choices.

This table uses Arngrim's new methodology for DOF/B2S configurations. Be sure to copy the controller.vbs file to your table folder if you don't already have one there.
First run of any table that uses this setup will ask you about DOF and what you have. After that, you are all set.
The backglass is a separate download, so be sure to grab that too

So did you know I was stuck on a 24 hour shift and my laptop won't run VP, or was that just a lucky guess? :(

Got a chance to play it, very fun game! I wish we had a bit better view of that row of targets but that's just a personal preference. The table is super fun, people who don't play EM's don't know what they are missing. Their loss.

Extremely nice EM table. Job well done! This is also a Sentimental fav for me, as this is a table some friends of the family had owned and that I got to play occasionally as a child. :) really fun gameplay as well

Thanks a lot! These old EM games really makes you feel good behind the flippers!
Question: is it difficult to get a mechanical plunger going for this game?

Edit: Sorry, that was really easy. I found it just seconds after I posted. Issue closed!

ok mod is delivered to loserman, DOF mapping has been made, and here are the additional options

Const MechSounds = 0 '1 to enable mech sounds

Const ChimeSounds = 0 '1 to enable chime sounds

second option is brand new, we have chime unit toys in the configtool repository now, so i have filled the chime unit mapping to the chime toys, and allow the users to disable the chime sounds with a variable :)

Hi sevan,

Do you have any problems with other tables not displaying correctly?

You are seeing the wood tile floor with the cement brick wall and chalkboard on your monitor?  (You should not see them at all in cab mode)

I'm having problems running the backglass.  Can someone please suggest what I'm doing wrong?

Dim Controller ' B2S
Dim B2SScore ' B2S Score Displayed
Dim B2SOn=True 'True/False if want backglass

I get an error on line 34 with B2SOn=True

Thanks!

Leave line 34 as Dim B2SOn 'True/False if want backglass

Change line 126 to B2SOn=True

That should fix it.
