I downloaded FP this week.   I decided to rework the simple The Warriors pinball table I downloaded last week.   I've already recorded, edited and replaced the majority of the sounds on the table so some of them sound like punches and kicks.  I re-recorded the music so it sounds like it is coming out of the table and now loops.

I altered the table and changed some elements to make it more playable.  I added The Baseball Furies as pop up targets that you punch out.

If anyone would like to help finish this up...

I'd like to add some scripting to make the following happen:

1.  I would like to keep the upper trigger dialogues from repeating if they are struck repeatedly by a ball.   I would also like to Cut them off if a Punch/Kick sound is triggered -like when it says "Warriors come out to play"  I think it would be hilarious if the line is cut off by them being punched.

2.  Because I have a second piece of music, I would like to trigger some sort of secondary event like a multi-ball section with that other music.

3.  It might be nice to have some additional dialogue at a specific score levels.

It's a pretty simple Solid State design so I'm not trying to pimp it out too much.  It is enjoyable to play now, especially for the cheese factor.

here are some ideas

Stop dialog from repeating if already playing.  I have not done FP scripting but you could use a timer to ignore trigger hits for a certain amount of time

Dim sound1playing

Sub trigger_hit

 if sound1playing = 0 then 'only if sound not playing then start it

   PlayMusic ....

   sound1playing = 1

   MyTimer.Set True, 1000   'assuming sound clip is 1 second long

 end if

end  sub

Sub MyTimer_Expired()
MyTimer.Set False
sound1playing = 0
End Sub

To stop music, look for wherever the punch/kick sound is started and add StopMusic .... to stop the audio clip (Note: you have to use PlayMusic for any audio clip you want to be able to stop instead of PlaySound, because there is no StopSound command

Thanks, that helps.

I haven't really scripted like this before but I'm a fast learner (I used to program in basic).  I want to finish this one up because I'm already starting on my first original build.

Ha, I put that line from the video into the machine.

I'm trying to make a multi-ball event in the machine, after that it will probably be done.
