File Name: Star Wars - Empire Strikes Back, The (Hankin 1980)

File Submitter: 32assassin

File Submitted: 06 Aug 2014

File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Author(s): 32assassin,Destruk,Franco666
Manufacturer: Other - Pinball
Year: 1980
Permission to MOD?: Unspecified

table is best played in VP 9.9.0,  their are a few visible image glitches if you run this on VP 9.2.1
NO I DON'T PLAN TO FIX THEM!!

this is an image/element upgrade to Destruks  The Empire Strikes Back 1.0.0 table
the code was not changed in any way shape or form.

Big thank you to Franco666,  I extracted  all of his artwork from his FP table.
this is not a simple copy and past,  I re-sized, cloned and corrected allot of the
artwork to suit my needs,  I wanted the table to be as accurate as possible.
the apron correction is the most noticeable image.  I did not find a picture showing any
image over the plunger, I had no choice but to leave it black.

the majority of elements found on the table such as posts and rubbers where replaced thanks to
Unclewillys primitive template table.  Big thank you for that, makes things go so much faster.
I also used one of JPSalas primitives,  the lane guide covers, I thought the original flat ones where too plain.

hopefully I got all the bugs out of the table,  I had to add a few hidden walls to keep the ball from getting stuck. if anyone finds more let me know

Very nice 32assassin, thanks for releasing it!  Table looks and plays great.  Played for a good little bit with no problems.  Backglass is very nice as well!

   Thanks for the table 32. The high score to date feature isn't working for me though.

Is there any way to reassign the "credits" key from "3" to "5" ? or set it to free play ?

I can't get any credits either and don't really know what your solution meant. can you give me some pointers please.

You can't take it with you so you might as well waste it on pinball!

It's not on free play for me. I have to press three on the keyboard to get credits. All other games use button five which is the key assigned to give credits on my cab.

Open VPMKeys.vbs (located in your tables folder) with a text editor, look for a section like this..

.keyInsertCoin1 = 4 '(3) Insert coin in slot 1
keyInsertCoin2 = 5 '
(4) Insert coin in slot 2
keyInsertCoin3 = 6 '(5) Insert coin in slot 3
keyInsertCoin4 = 7 '
(6) Insert coin in slot 4
keySlamDoorHit = 199 '(Home) Slam Tilt
keyCoinDoor = 207 '
(End) Opening/Closing Coin Door

then just switch the values for Coin1 and Coin3, that way '5' will be your Coin1 button for all pinmame games...

 keyInsertCoin1 = 6 '(5) Insert coin in slot 1
keyInsertCoin2 = 5 '
(4) Insert coin in slot 2
keyInsertCoin3 = 4 '(3) Insert coin in slot 3
keyInsertCoin4 = 7 '
(6) Insert coin in slot 4
keySlamDoorHit = 199 '(Home) Slam Tilt
keyCoinDoor = 207 '
(End) Opening/Closing Coin Door

I finally got round to trying the fix.

It worked perfectly.

Cheers
