Hi..

As me and my dad both like pinball (real and emu) and also like the competition part about it, i wondered if there is already a tool that allows to merge hiscores from 2 files/directories?

PINemHi has some functionality already to read a lot of the hiscores, but is there a tool that also allows for modification/merging?

It shouldn't be too difficult i guess, so maybe somebody already wrote something like this?!

Thanks..

If you like competition, why not play with  DnaDisturber 's Pinemhi ? http://www.pinemhi.com/fs.php

That would be me ;)
A lot of the hiscores haves checksums, this is the reason why i only extract them and not inject them.

Perhaps you could take a look at pind , this is made by freezy and uses pinemhi
https://github.com/freezy/node-pind

You can at least get the scores on tablet , phone....from what i understand....and many more features
Unfortunately no merging though...

Hmmm..

And there is no hack around that like the rom checksum hack (setting specific bytes to 0xFF)?

Pinemhi is used in pinballx to display the hiscores outside gameplay.
If you download pinballx then pinemhi is already in it.

If you want to set hiscores and compete with other pinball players then there is pinemhi leaderboard
It's in the downloadsection
Pinemhi leaderboard is basically a frontend so you don't really need pinballx for it.
Some have managed to get pinemhi leaderboard in hyperpin , you then can select it just like selecting a table.
I don't know if this works under pinballx though

Hope this helps :drinks:

The user and code you can get at the website beliw in my signature

Hi DnaDisturber i have Pinemhi working with Pinball x. I wonder were i will write the code i get from your highscore site. Can i use the Pinhemhi program without hyperpin? The problem is: I don´t have the [user] text there i can write in the user name and the code in the ini file i got with the pinballx frontend.

To the point: I will have some help so i can join our highscore site. What is the easiest way to go?

Sorry for my bad english :)

Hi krille81'

Download pinemhi leaderboard
You can use this link www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=7262

Read the instructions that come with the zip file

That should get you in the right direction...no need for pinballx as this is a frontend on its own

Sorry for the mixup but pinemhi and pinemhi leaderboard are 2 totally different programs.
Pinemhi is used to get the hiscores out of the nvram files , this program can and is used by frontends (hyperpin via fplaunch, pinballx and also pind)
Pinemhi leaderboard is a program and website to set and share hiscores , earn badges and do challenges

I figured out what the problem is...it has to do with your username.
I've sent you a PM with the solution

Is it possible to edit or erase rom default high scores?

going into the service menu and setting defaults to 0 is kind of a pain

thanks!

I think most have checksums so they would revert to default when you edit it.
I believe cujopb had a collection of preconfigured nvrams....with the scores being 0
Maybe you could ask him .

:drinks:

Edit- cujopb now goes by the name of comicalman.
Saw an old thread where he stated he had 50 of them
