Please provide feedback. This is my first table, so I expect the need for tweaks here and there, but I tried to put all the essentials in.

Desktop release this weekend, maybe tonight...

Issues I noticed:

- coin insert (5) seems to add 3-4 credits.  VP8 table behaved same way.  Is this ROM issue or a scripting setup issue?

- multi-ball lock:  After ball lock, new ball is typically released to plunger lane, but sometimes ball is released out thru multi-ball lane.  Is this how the games plays? or have I confused the ROM due to incorrect script

- Hitting pod targets and destroying swarmers opens right outlane gate once.  I have not seen the gate open a second time, but it may just be my lack of pinball skills.  Again, I don't know if this is correct behavior of rom

I will be start working on another table and try out the lightmap feature for fading light routines and circle back to this table for incorporating better lighting, but basic lighting is supported

Tips:

Plunge to avoid the 2nd left Bomber lane, or work on your "Chill Manuever" (http://www.ipdb.org/...g/advanced.html)

Complete the Bomber lanes to keep Reverse kicker lit

Use those Smart Bombs to clear waves

Excellent first table. Plays very well. Haven't played enough to comment on possible bugs but didn't notice any problem during the couple of games I played.

Like the flow of the table and it has some nice shots. Being able to use magnasave buttons is a nice plus :)

Will be added to my cab as soon as I grabbed a B2S and mediapack.

It's determined by the rom. The '5' key is setup as coin 3 in the vpm .vbs files, which is probably used for a bill acceptor, meaning you will get a dollars worth (or insert your local currency here) of credits when you hit the button.

Actually you need to adjust options 19 through 25 in the rom to get the coin chutes (keys) to provide the proper number of credits per coin.  Look at page 6 of the operators manual on IPDB to see how those options need to be set.  Use the Williams System 7 procedure in either the replay level or balls per game adjustment to get to those options.  Koadic is correct that the vpm vbs file does determine which key is set to which coin chute so take that into consideration as well.

Desktop users - I was porting in the newer LED routines and I am getting out of range errors, so it looks like I need to read up and understand the LED arrays a little more.  You can rotate the table easily for now - I have been using these settings.  Backdrop Options tab->starting with Inclination.  40,50,20,360,0.996,1.2, -10,100

This was one of my fav from the vp6.1 desktop tables days, looking forward to trying this over the holidays (real busy right now prep for Christmas Eve party, so looking forward to trying this one on the pincab).

Congrats on your first release. People are sometimes a little busy at this time of the year but rest assured your efforts with this table are/will be appreciated. Comments are coming.

I tried these settings running the new VP 9.2.0 and I get the following error message "Line 791: variable is undefined :'BSize' "

I tried these settings running the new VP 9.2.0 and I get the following error message "Line 791: variable is undefined :'BSize' "

I had to modify the "Const" definition near the top of the script and change 'BallSize' to BSize.  After that, I had to change it from a default of 50 to 25 for the variable to make the ball fit on the table.  I'm not sure why it has to be half the size...

I'd like to suggest the following desktop settings for a widescreen lcd:

40,50,20,360,0.875,1.22,-10,110

For my taste, this gives me a long, top-down-ish view I like for desktop.

And by the way, great recreation!  Thank you very much for resurrecting this old beauty for us!

Best Regards,

Todd.

Absolutely fantastic!  I hope you had as much fun building it as I'm having playing it.  I never played this table in real life, but I got that old, familiar feeling as soon as I started flipping, kind of like putting on the jean jacket for the first time in early spring.  I'd like to be able to provide feedback on how you can improve this version, but the fun factor is already hovering at a solid 10.  Thank you enormously for your contribution.

What version of the core.vbs are you running? as it should set 'BSize' automatically to allow the ball size to be set in the table script based on 'BallSize'

I have one of the older ones from 2009: 3.32, mainly because I didn't feel like updating it, and second it got very confusing with all the "back-and-forth" over who's tweaking was better.  Until now, it hasn't really been an issue, and IMHO, it was a simple fix for me...

I'm sorry, I didn't realize this is working as intended had I been using the proper core.vbs... nothing to see here, move along, move along...

:D

Todd.

Great addition to the community. I LOVE tables from this era of pinball. Simple rule set but so much fun.

I did notice that there is some strange graphical issues with the bumpers. When playing they kind of look like they have a spring image underneath them that comes and goes. Anyone else see this? Is there a fix coming?

Again, thanks so much for this game. :otvclap:

After checking into the bumper issue myself, I have a fix;

Check the box 'update regions' for ring1 and ring2.

enjoy.

PS;

Anyone know if this game features background noise and if so how do you enable it? I tried checking the other box for sounds after hitting f6 but that didn't work..

This is really an excellent table. Thank you very much for your hard word. Virtual table plays really like a machine from the 80s. Great stuff!

excellent table and work ;), the dof config was quite a challenge, took me some hours to have something decent imo :)

one question, is it normal that the balls locked are not released at the end of a game?
