File Name: Wooly DOF edition

File Submitter: arngrim

File Submitted: 03 Nov 2013

File Category: VP 9.x Cabinet Tables (FULL SCREEN)

Manufacturer: Original
Year: 2012
Permission to MOD?: Yes, with approval

This is Wooly customized for new software DOF!

For this release, I have removed all the toolbox code from the B2S version, learned the fading lights system of JPsalas and replicated it to the flashers of the ledwiz, mapped all the possible objects to contactors, you have gear motor, shaker, beacon and the rest like the mappings that i usual do for the SS tables.

You absolutely need DOF to benefit from the ledwiz in this version, more explanation here

http://www.vpforums....=25850&p=242917

And the respective mapping from the ledwiz ini files available here

No need to change the script to activate the b2s backglass or use b2s.server, just use the vpt and the exe from the rar.

Enjoy

I get the following error with bg true or false :

q43q.png

The BackGlass is loaded by the .exe so I don't know why it is still looking for the .directb2s file ?

I'm also receiving this error. It's like the table is looking specifcally for a .directb2s file and not a .exe file.

Any ideas Arngrim?

Time for some general explanation, guys: A B2S backglass as an EXE file is a (I call it) 'Rosve style' backglass, or let's say version 1 of B2S. Months later I've decided to develop the B2S backglass server with directB2S backglasses, version 2 of B2S (and version 1 and/or 2 is just for the chronology and of course no quality ranking). Each version is stand-alone from the other version. The Direct-Output framework is based on the B2S backglass server and needs this server to get necessary infos from the table. So for running DOF you always need to activate the server in the script (or sometimes this is already done in the script).

On the other hand the backglass server is always looking for an directB2S backglass as he has no idea about a running or existing EXE file as backglass. Therefore you get this message box when he isn't able to locate a matching directB2S backglass. And to suppress this messagebox please uncheck the option "Error message without backglass" in the backglass settings.

Of course you are not able to uncheck this option in the WOOLY backglass (as this is still an EXE backglass and does not have the server settings dialog). But this is an overall setting so just open any directB2S backglass, get into the settings and uncheck it. And everything is fine.

Have a lot 'stutter-free' fun with DOF.

Ok thanks for the explanation. Unchecked the Error message without backglass and it worked. I have 44 .exe backglass tables and this one was the first with an error. But I understand this is because it's DOF ready.

Strange as I can't get the Virtual DMD to show up on the Backglass.  Scarface DOF works fine, but this great table does not show any DMD.  Any ideas  (I'm running latest DOF, VP 9.2 beta, win7x64, 3 screens (well 2 real monitors and 1 read DMD with PinDMD2)

it was difficult for me to do it as well, i have the same config screens than you.

Create a folder with the same name than the table, and create a custom screenres.txt, for 2 screens and dmd positioning, that will be just used for that table, i can show you mine tonight once i get back home

Sounds great, as I would never have figured that out.  I love the sound track in wooly and its unique layout, but without scores, it loses alot of its appeal.  Thanks

ok i have checked the configuration on my cab, here it is:

my screenres.txt on my table folder looks like this:

1920

1080

1920

1080

2

0

0

0

0

0

0

0

i don't have a folder with custom screenres.txt for wooly, it's not working, i don't know why, so wolly is using this screenres.txt and the dmd is on the backglass screen.

And for tables like scarface, i have a custom screenres.txt on a folder with same name than the table, to have the dmd at the right position, that is working for scarface, here it is:

1920

1080

1920

1080

2

0

0

880

200

520

850

0

that does the trick ;)

Your the man, I actually found that when I use all zeros for the 3rd screen like your 1st screenres, both scarface and wooly work fine (and music template tables too).  Good job, thanks

can't remember why I had numbers for the 3rd screen, ah well
