Hi there !

Don't know how things are arranged in other parts of the world, but let me explain the Duch situation. In the early years, wherever one went, there was a pinball machine available within 15 minutes of his present location -or even better- an arcade stashed with pinball machines. Hours and euro's (no sorry, Guilders at the time) and hours and guilders went into those machines. Pure magic!

Apparently the times, they are achanging. No more arcades (well, not stashed with ye good old pinball machines). And to be quiet honest, I don't care much for the video games; must be an age-thingy.

Ayways, better late then never, I stumbled upon the Virtual Pinball Machine. Horns! Pipes! Violins! And high pitched women for background music....Haleluja! Now I finally found what I was looking for without knowing I was looking for it...

So, lotsa reading, lotsa asking around, lotsa obstacles, for a guy with 2 left hands and NO! computer skills. (Up untill two weeks ago I wrote the word computer with a K...). Maybe I can describe myself best as project manager slash financier..

But .. up and away. The computer is custom built by a former colleaugue of mine (hail to Ron) and the nearly dead cabinet is being revived by a former schoolfriend of my son (hail to Steven).

Your forum is of immense importance to the dutch right now. Thanx so far for all the shared info, topics and fantastic tables. The cabinet to be wouldn't to become if it wasn't for this forum. Chapeau !!

Some specs whats under the hood (and I must admit, it don't mean much to me) (and don't get me wrong, I'm not posing, I just don't have a clue...):

Gigabyte F2A75 board

AMD A8 5600K 3,9Ghz

Corsair H70 CPU cooler

Geforce GTX 650 2 Gig

MSI N210 1 Gig

Windows 7 english (for the digital plunger)

600 watt Zalman

Samsung 128 GB SSD

Samsung 42" 5-series

Samsung 28"4- series

Something 15"

This all will enter a hollow 1994 Batman Forever.

Wish me, and Ron, and Steven, luck. We will need it...

Welcome!!  Good luck with the build!  It's quite a fun hobby that never gets old!  These table designers and programmers in the forums have some great talent.  Constant improvements and new discoveries seem to happen regularly around here.

Keep us posted throughout your build.

Gee, thanx for the welcome !!

For the first time in my life I'm part of a 1-0-1-0-community.

The beast has come alive. Managed to install VP and played my first pinball game on the 42".

Not quiet the real thing yet, pushing left shift and right shift but..... NOT complaining.

Little steps towards the endproduct.

Welcome !

I also started a new project. I did see you're going to use a digital plunger too.

But why has the Windows version needs to be English ? What happens if you use a Dutch version ?

I thought I read something about it here on the forum, but can't find it anymore.

Does anyone know if this "problem" is still a known error, or is there a fix or solution for it ?

Success with your cab ! Hope 2 see some pics of the near dead cab and how it is restored.

Ola Dave72,

I stumbled across a topic by a German user who installed the German Windows but could'nt activate his plunger. The answerback from this community was it could only be solved by installing the English version of Windows.

As I am an original 'digibeet' I decided this to be the way things work and bought the English version of Windows7 to avoid this problem. Can't say weather this will work as I am still awaiting my plunger-order from the States.

Hallooo Marx,

Lot's of cloggies around here as of late, welcome and let's see some pics of your build progress !

And i think it's the first watercooled rig i've seen in a long time (at least for a pin, that is)......

Dunno about the language issue with the plunger, sounds strange though !

Hi there Nemo,

To me, anything concerning hardware, software, zips, roms, etc sound off-planet. Even when all answers are available on this community... So you can imagine my 'shitting my pants' when it comes down to wiring touchy thingies to an immense calculator...

Well, we'll see what happens.

Cabinet build on hold whilst awaiting buttons and plunger. Software tinkering on going proces.

C ya!
