Great backglass but it crashes on load in hyperpin.

in2kiss...  If you are using the vp table file with a suffix of B2S, Hyperpin will try to launch the older B2S version of the backglass.  Then the script will try to use Herweh's version.  This could cause problems.  If this is the case, then try renaming (or make a copy of) the original table.  Rename it to something that doesn't end with _B2S, then update your Hyperpin XML file and it should work.  Mine seems to be working fine with this change.

Herweh,

INCREDIBLE backglass.  Really great use of your designer.  And HOW are you gettting these beautiful images?

Thanks!

Thanks, darquayle. You solved my issue. Hyperpin definately did not like the b2s ending in the table's name.

Ohhh Yeah ! I am a great fan of Python Anghelo's artwork on pinballs and Bad Cats is one of the best !

This recreation is top notch, such detailed lighting and animation (the spinning cat & broom girl look almost

3D when the light in the shed goes out), just amazing and wonderfully done !

I've done that backglass image because I think Bad Cats is one of the best pinball machines ever done and I remember many many hours of fun playing the real thing at my friends place. The picture and all related stuff was provided by Jeff Z. Many hours of photoshopping made it almost perfect (the shadowbox was the biggest challenge). I'm still improving the appearance and I'll provide an optical update some time in the future.

Now only JP has to update the FS table with a working vari-target, a smoothly animated seafood wheel, some improved GI and physics - then it would be one of the ultimate tables for VP! Let's hope he will do that soon... :)

I just got this working with 1.2 and adjusted JP's table to remove the jackpot scoring at the bottom left, things are up and running well and I have to say this is the most amazing B2S backglass I have yet seen.  Bravo.

Could you share how to remove the jackpot on the table itself?  Bad Cats and Back To the Future both have them and they are redundant with the back glasses now.  I took a look though the script but nothing jumped right out at me!

there's a b2s version with it already removed just add the b2s code and disable the old one in it. in the script find where it says launch b2s backglass and change it to false than add the new code at the start of the script near the load command and comment out ' launch vpm code and dont forget to rename the table it must not have B2S in it's name.

Or remove them from the one you have now, you can click the Backdrop button in the editor left hand panel then click and drag the square icons off the table, then save it.

Hadn't thought to look at the backdrop!  That's the trick.  Easy and quick.  Works with BTTF too. :dblthumb:
