File Name: Junk Yard VP9 + DX9

File Submitter: mfuegemann

File Submitted: 02 Nov 2012

File Category: VP/VPinMAME 9.x - MOD Tables

Author(s): VP8 table 4:3 by destruk,
VP9 conversion by mfuegemann
Manufacturer: Williams
Year: 1996
ROM: Link to ROM
Permission to MOD?: No

This is a VP9 conversion of destruks VP8 table. I reworked the graphics, added some playfield details and changed the table layout where I found it necessary.
This table is based on my JY FS mod version 2.2.

Thanks to destruk for his original work and the permission to mod this table.

Have fun

Michael

Danke dir Michael für die 4:3 Version, ist dir wirklich gut gelungen. Die Kugel ist nur etwas zu langsam.
Thank you Michael for the 4:3 version, You've done really well. The ball is just a bit to slow.

greetings

This is awesome, unfortunately the settings are a 'tad derpified... ...maybe importing values from a JP table would fix it?

Nonetheless, thank you! :)

Hi,

send me Your suggestions and I will check them.

If You want the table faster, try

Gravity = 1,2
Dampening Speed = 100
Dampening Friction = 0,1

or

Gravity = 1
Dampening Speed = 60
Dampening Friction = 0,95
Tbl Slope Min = 6,5 - 8
Tbl Slope Max = 6,5 - 8
Global Diffculty = 0

Hi,

Thank you for a great table!!!!! I had a ball playing it last night :) The table looks great, I am thankful for what you have done.
The Williams logo in the backglass is a lil blurry. I am not nit picking thou, please dont take this wrong :)
But the sound efx are way loud on this table compaired to the music. I have my music setting on 90% & my sound on 70%. The sound efx come blairing thru like the bumper but cant hear when they are talking in this. Is there a way to fix that on my end? So I dont have to just adjust this one table to play, then have to put settings back. All the other tables I play, my 90-70% settings work for me.

Hi lizardking,

please use the "-" and "=" keys to reduce overall sound level and the ROM (keys 6 to 9) to adjust table volume.
This table is a conversion of my Full Screen table. I was almost forced ( :dblthumb:) by Bolt and Harakiri to do the desktop version, so I just used the original graphics from destruk's table for the background. I tried to do as little extra work for this one to release it immediately and have no intentions to change that.

That said, have fun with the table!

Regards
Michael

For test build of VP9?
Every version I try gives me an "alpha.obj" script error

Hi DaveyDarko,

Desktop 2.2  --> Vpin 9.2.1.0 (official release)

Desktop 2.2 DX9 --> VPinball-DX9-rev980.exe

These are my versions, that run without problems. I did create separate versions, because some layering issues and light calculations are different between the DX7 and DX9 versions.

What VPin build do You use? Could You send me the line number of the error and the table version, You use?

Regards

Michael
