Or should (may) we try to place more of them. I saw in your pic that you had made others as well, hence my inquiry. There are many, I don't know if you want to guide us through certain groups of them or not...

Faralos, I know you're keen but...one step at a time.

All we have done so far is:
- suggest (agree) that Idependence Day be the machine we as a group reproduce
- suggest (agree) that we will build it with VP9
- have an exercise to see if we (as individual members of this group) can fit a table width to an image correctly.

It has been stated that this image (& subsequently table size) is NOT what we will use to build the table with.

That's it.

Nothing else has been decided by us as a group - granted we seem to be going a little slower than some of the others - but it appears to me that they have more guys with graphics experience than we do.

I have no experience of table recreations (only originals), so I'm not too sure of the correct way to go about all of this...if you want to jump ahead and try things or suggest the next step, fine, go for it. As far as I can see suggestions from individual group members on how to proceed is the way this project is supposed to work - i.e. it is a "group" project, not one guy telling everyone else how to do it.

Regards,
Dan.

Dan,
You stated that very nicely. Thank you! I believe I am here as a mentor, but that doesn't have to mean that I call the shots. This is a group effort and if anyone has any suggestions or anything, or a different way of approaching something then by all means, post it. I am only trying to go about this and help out in a way that I'd do it (or that I think would be helpful to others), but that may not work for everyone.

As for the speed, I don't have any problem speeding things up. I was only waiting since I figured we all don't have the same amount of free time to do this.

Sorry didn't mean to jump the gun! Since I've built two from actual tables and one from scratch and have two wip's I may have a bit more exp with object placement and lights, but I am also far behind others in actual coding, so I guess what I'm saying is that in some things I will go a tad faster but in others I may lag, so I'll keep my shirt on so to speak and wait further instructions! And I thought we DID (or someone anyways) pick Ind. Day for the actual pin, Actually there are lots of transparent ramps and I think it may be a bit daunting to attack that one because of that reason, but hey, I'm game if everyone else is.
