Oh dear. Take cover...

One of us smells like a tart's handkerchief. Afraid it's me. Sorry about that, old boy.

I'm sure that's what he's asking for - everything in one download.

I can see the desire to just grab it all in one click, but that's frowned upon. It's a controversial topic, as seen here.

The only acceptable way to get everything is to download it all piece by piece and assemble it all yourself, I'm afraid.

Why are you afraid? Downloading them 1 at a time and having a 5 table limit was the best! It gave me reason to play just those 5 tables more then once and really discover all the tables for what they are.

If you have a widescreen 16:9 monitor and want to play your VP9 desktop tables without them being stretched, check out This Link

It does seem like suspicious timing, indeed.

Yes you can. I won't share where to get them, but if you look hard enough you will figure it out.

Torrents are fine & have always been a helpful part of VP. In fact thanks to torrents they have saved many old tables from being lost forever to most people, & tons of originals, but also some recreations not found here. Or newer versions of some VP8 tables that for some reason aren't on here. This site does a great job of covering everything from the VP9 era, but lots of files are out there from before VP9 that can't be found here.
As for the roms torrents, those aren't really as needed, those are just nice to be able to get a complete set for those completists out there, rather than wasting precious life manually downloading 2,000 roms.

As for the other thread. After a glance at it, it doesn't sound like the torrent itself is the big issue, but rather the guy who posted it & the comments he made. Yet whoever takes the time to put together these sets, labeling/organizing/collecting/dating, that is soooo much work, & it should be appreciated as it does help out a lot of good intentioned members. & there is a good chance that this work wasn't done by the guy who posted the torrent.

In summation, definitely just use VPF for all your latest file needs & to fill in small gaps. Torrents should be viewed just as a supplement for those who want even more than this site offers, & lately as one of the better or only ways to get some great, older originals.
Hey, I've used torrents & newsgroups, but I still donated here & still use VPF as my main hub for VP. I would think the same is true for most people who got files that may have come from these sets, which is likely to be more people than you would think.
In fact, back on the old forums, some authors would ONLY release tables via newsgroup or torrent. I remember Neo with his large file original tables would do this, cuz the old VPF file size limit was too small at the time. Holla to the old schoolers!

Deleted my previous post - too many glasses of scotch tonight. If downloading one table and rom at a time is too difficult/tedious then maybe this is the wrong forum for some users....
