Red & Ted's Road Show VP912 v1.0.1

Version: 1.0.1
Category: VPinMAME 9.x Recreations

Author(s): jpsalas, bent98, bodydump

Description:
Based on the table by Williams from 1994
I should like to thank bent98 and bodydump for their playfield and plastics. And also Sikarkades for the pictures of the ramps, and to all who sent me pictures.

The table is angle independent so it will be easy to adjust it to your monitor and preferences.

Update 1.0.1
- removed the shaker effect
- added the higher resolution graphics.

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

now can this table only be played in 9.1.1 or is it compatible with older versions as well, since I don't see any of those transparent ramps made with the alpha slider thingy like can it still be played in 9.09 or does it take advantage of things in the newer version not available with the older ones.

It can only be played with 9.1.1. It has PNG graphics on the ramps.

Thanks Serpiko! I forgot to add the sound when I changed the subs to move two plungers at the same time. At some point I had the sound, because I remember that it sounded double in the first version, then I "fixed" that, hahaha, and it was no more sound smile.gif

ROAD SHOW!

Mu-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Thank you JP! It's totally awesome!

I think I first started asking for you to make this table back when VP7 was the latest version. It sure took you a long time. smile.gif You did a fantastic job! Now how long is it going to be before we see that Smurf table? dblthumb.gif

I had some transparency issues when loading this table, I tried a few things, I couldn't seem to figure it out, so I decided to download the latest Nvidia drivers for my GeForce 9800 GT and right out of the box those issues were corrected. I'm going to show you a screenshot of what I was seeing, the newest drivers solved this problem without me changing any settings.... Maybe this will help someone else, it never hurts to mention it anyway.

JP I had a problem with the ball getting stuck/dissapearing in the area below in the picture. It was kinda hard to see what happened but I hit the yellow ramp and at the beginning of it I think it went off the left side of it and dissapeared into some objects, not totally sure. The game thought that i triggered the flying rocks however and I guess the ball was suppose to end up on that left plunger.

@Sabbat: I don't know which of the walls could be the problem. I see I made some thinner walls, and maybe the ball managed to get through one of them. But it should not happen. Be sure you are using the fixed VP9.1.1, and if in doubt then download it again smile.gif
