       He also reworked physics, so now the table is harder to play, and, in my opinion, it's fine !

        I also encreased the volume of rollingsounds because they were very low
 
        Hope there's nothing else not properly working !

Resampled playfiel and plastics to 4096 VPX native size and 72DPI
 
Back the plastics look like they're printed on the underside the acrylic with real edges... some lights adjusted...

As I found no other ressources, I used plastics and playfield from my VP9 version
 
I reworked and increased resolution of plastics, but I just increased resolution of playfield, so, the table looks better in DT than in FS mode
 
Big thanks to 32assassin and JP Salas for their help and all what they did for this table to work properly, and to Kiwi for his replies to my questions
 
Thanks to Mfuegemann, Unclewilly, 32assassin and many others for their primitives I used for this table
 
Sure I forgot some other people, so please tell me !

Table felt good playing it. At the very least it isn't Space Odyssey, where that table practically plays itself.

Which version of VPX and VPinMAME do you use ?

 

I use VPX 10.4.0 (beta version) and VPinMAME 2.9

Looks great, Batch!  I am using 10.4 beta / 2.9, and I can't hear any of the game sounds (I do hear ball rolling, etc.).  I updated the ROM, and deleted the nvram.  Any ideas?

 

I  tried f12 and the tilde key as described in this thread, but it is still totally silent.

UPDATE:  I figured it out.  For some reason, "Use Sound" was unchecked in the VPINMAME ROM settings.  Added a checkmark, and everything is good!

Sorry for the crash problem, it was due to the size of playfield and palstics images, I didn't know there was a limit size for images in VPX

 

I think Hauntfreaks didn't change anything because of the way I did the lights on playfield and plastics

 

I've tried to add some bulb lamps behind the targets and at the top of the playfield but I didn't like how it looked

 

And also, it's just my second VPX release and there are still many things I don't know

 

Hope the next one will be better !

Sorry, I've uploaded the version updated by Hauntfreaks because size of plastics and playfield images was too big, so I think you will have to update your FSS version

I was telling Batch, while working on BTTF I noticed some strange errors while the table was initializing, this was on my Laptop.... while looking in the image manager and all the new sorting features I seen some of the textures, were very over sized... talking to some of the other builders, I believe it was DJrob was telling me that VPX doesnt handle files well over 4K, and that it depended on the machine and GPU....
anyway I have this happen last night with Amazon Hunt on my laptop (worked fine on my cab) so remembering BTTF I looked and there it was two oversized files.... reduced them to 4K and all is good

I downloaded latest vpinmame version 2.9 and made sure use sound was checked. Still no rom sounds, just the vp ball roll etc.Is there a known process for adjusting volumn for  this table or Gottlieb? running vpx 10.4
