I followed the instructions on the getting started of this website to the letter and downloaded medieval madness and the required ROMs. When I launch the table it seems to run just fine but the only interaction with the table seems to be 3-6 to insert credits and the function keys. I cannot interact with the table in any other way. I have tried using other versions of the table that require different roms, and this is even my second attempt at installing VPX and I have no idea why I cant play.

Most likely the table is not getting focus for your interaction.  Try clicking on the display for the table itself or press ALT-TAB to switch the active window to VPX.

destruk, That did not resolve the problem however it did resolve an error message that was being hidden before which is "PinDMD not found". I didn't see anything about PinDMD in the getting started post, is it another program I have to install or did I just not run another executable I needed to before playing?

I don't think pindmd should be enabled by default on installation.  But to fix it you can change some registry settings -

If that doesn't help you...

While table is running hit F1 key, this will bring up the rom options menu.

If you don't have a pinDMD, you need to uncheck the "Use External DMD"

If you have one, then this needs to be checkmarked.

This will only effect the one rom.

If you want to make these changes globally to all roms, you need to go into your VPinMAME folder located where you installed the Visual Pinball program.

Look for "Setup.exe" and run it.

You will see a "Setup Defaults" tab.

This will bring up the same rom options menu as seen above, except now this will effect all the roms after you make your changes.

Hope this helps.
