Many thanks for your reply, your help and all you have done for this community!
I believe I found the issue. In contrast to my initial suspicion, points for bonuses and skill shots are added to the score. However it seems in v.4.0.2 this is only done for a 10th of the total bonus. I did a diff on the scripts of both versions and found the following change in the AddScore function (line 1472):

 

Sub AddScore(points)
    If(Tilted = False)Then
        Points = Points \ 10
        ' add the points to the current players score variable
        Score(CurrentPlayer) = Score(CurrentPlayer) + points * SecondRound
        ' update the score displays
        DMDScore
    End if

)

 

I did a quick field test and removing this line seems to solve the problem. However, I am not sure if other parts of the scoring are negatively affected.

It would be great if you could confirm my assumption or tell me if I am barking up the wrong tree.

I remember that fix now. It was to fix a problem with UltraDMD which crashed if the scores were too high. So I simply reduced the size of the points by 10, so it wouldn't get an overflow error and crash :) This doesn't mean the scoring is not working, it is simple reduced by 10 :) So, yes, you can remove that line now that we are using FlexDMD, but if I remember right UltraDMD got that error fixed too :)

 

all it did for me was make a bigger score
but no lack of score with or without it

UPDATE

 

4.0.3 Updated 08.12.2022
- Removed a small fix to avoid a crash with large score numbers in the older version of UltraDMD. This should not be a problem anymore using FlexDMD or the newest UltraDMD.
 
I simply had forgotten about that fix to avoid the crash with the older UltraDMD :) Now the scores on the DMD will be back to how they should be in this table and as shown in the DMD videos. 

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

I updated my version of Diablo to the latest, and also updated VPX to 10.7.3.  I notice that my plunger acts differently in this game now, don't get nearly as much power as I did before.  Is there a setting in the script someplace for that?  It seems to be behaving normally in other tables.  Thanks!

In the editor, click on the plunger, and just increase the plunger's Release Speed to 100 or 120. (it is 90 on the table, which should be strong enough)

- Updated physics to my Rev3. Including physics materials, flippers and slingshot shapes.
- Updated LUT images, 10 shades and 10 warmer shades.
- Updated to my latest set of mechanical sounds.

sorry but I'm in trouble with this nice table and I need your support.

It was working very fine with the previous update, while now I've the UltraDMD that doesn't  show anything when the ball doesn't hit a target.

I also don't know why, but sometime the game hangs up and the cabinet requires to return to the PinballX launcher to get control back.

 

Do you have any suggestion?

I haven't changed much the table from the v4, mostly the script and the LUT images, so the table should play just like before.

I guess you still have the folder Diablo.UltraDMD.

 

If you haven't installed FlexDMD then I recommend to do that as it has a few bug fixes compared to UltraDMD and it is also full compatible with UltraDMD.

Fist of all, thank you for your precious aids, because they are always resolutive.

 

Yes, I already installed FlexDMD (I wrote UltraDMD for a mistake, but I installed FlexDMD instead, sorry).

 

I just discovered that FlexDMD had a couple of its updates while I was at the hospital.

While the other tables were working right anyways, this nice table was not working for me.

Now everything is right and returned fully working.

Whenever I start a boss battle and immediately drain the ball, I'm getting the "Ball Lost" message and it starts going through the end of ball bonus count even though multiball is running. So it seems like the ball drain is not checking if multiball is in progress.

I have just tested the table and the multiball works fine. I have tested with VPX7 and the latest VPX8.
