@bob : You might have fallen into the trap of roms needing to have the name inside the zip file to correspond to the rom name. Don't know when it happened exactly but before you could have a zip named acd_170.zip and inside acd_170c.bin and it would still work. It  isn't like that anymore. I don't have any computer with VP installed avail right now but I can't recall having any rom named im_183ve.zip ? Normally it is just im_183.zip with im_183.bin - if it is a color rom it is im_183c.zip with im_183c.bin etc. Use setup.exe - look in the table script of this table - find cgamename = <romname>. In setup find the exact same name on the right column. Now start it and it should start it or give you an error telling you what file it doesn't find. That file is the file you obviously should have named your rom inside the *.zip.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Attached File  IM183VE.PNG   3.65KB   9 downloads

If you have a im_183 and you just renamed .zip to im_183ve - this will not working.
You Need im_183 or the Right one im_183ve

Do a search on \/PU with "Iron Man Vault Edition (V1.83)"

You nailed it Thalamus. Renaming the bin inside to zip fixed it. Thank you very much. I've never had to do this before. So glad this community has people smarter than I. :)

This version 3.0, apart from the Arcade Physics 3, you'll notice the increase in size from 9Mb to 30Mb, and this is due to the increase in resolution of the graphics up to 4k, and that I have saved them in PNG format.

Actually all the version 3 of the tables have 4k resolution graphics.

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:

After 18 years making tables, it is time to take a rest and let new authors do their thing.

I guess at last I'll play some more pinball :). But I'm sure I'll make some table updates from time to time :)

BTW
JP thanks for the table, did not even see this one before the 3.0 update

Think you need to hold a class on image creation
you are getting the same image quality in 30mb that others are using 200mb to accomplish

Hi,

i get an error message when i try to start the new 3.0 Version. I downloaded JPs IronMan 2 v3.0.zip, placed the table in the tables folder.

But then an error occurs.

Line 50

Game name not found.

I checked the script and there is the line Const cGameName = "im_186ve" 'vault edition rom

So i downloaded the 1.86 Vault Edition Rom from Sterns Site and created a zip named im_186ve.zip with the bin from Stern placed in the zip.

But it doesn´t work.

I tried only to test the rom with PinMame but i cant select Version 1.86 there, only Version 1.83.

Does the table need the 1.86 Vault Edition Rom?!

Update your vpinmame. You may use this version The VPM alpha/beta thread - VPinMAME - VPForums.org

Wild guess. You don't have the "sc" version of pinmame. That being the roms that support color etc. Earlier popularly called SamBuild. Get the x86 version.

github login needed to download. Ups - seems JPSalas was quicker.

Thanks a lot jpsalas and Thalamus for your superquick reply.

I had VPinMame 3.3b and updated to 3.4 (beta),

It works now. Great Table.

Thank you.

The 3.3b release version of VPinMAME supports the rom needed for this table.  No need to use a beta 3.4 build, FYI.

UPDATE

4.0.0 Updated 3.10.2022
- Updated to my VPX7 physics
- cleaned up and deleted unused graphics & reduced the size of the table
- Added my VPX7 LUT changer to darken the table (hold down LEFT CTRL while change with RIGHT CTRL). Including GI brightness adjustment. Use the LUT changer together with the day/night slider to give the table the level of darkness you prefer.
- Updated my mechanical set of sounds to a more "under the glass" sound, as people seem to like those kind of sounds better.
- Changed the Environment image to enhance a little the object shadows.
- Some small script updates, like the Rolling sound and PlaySoundAt routines.
- Made the light inserts warmer.

These are my tables, sorted by date, all them playable with VPX 7 or newer:
