Hi all-

I came across a strange nuance and don't believe this is related to incorrect vbs, etc. I have a wire ramp suspended over a playfied at a height of about 80. when the ball passes under it, the ball changes momentum, at times increasing its y if the ball is heading down. Is there anything about the ramp object itself that imparts momentum to the ball?

I'm sure this is the same issue when trying to use ramps as walls... the ball will accelerate or climb back "up" the ramp wall.... why? I couldnt tell ya... I make all ramp walls non-collidable and put in invisible real walls... why not just use real wall?.... I guess ramps give a more consistent width?...

Hi hf-

The ramp in question is a ramp that returns a ball from the upper playfield to the right outlane. When the ball passes under it, it seems to receive properties of the ramp itself. I was curious to see if that might be a clue as to why we're getting the ball creep with rubbers

I changed values from 135 to 140 and it solved the problem :)

Please stop doing strange things, just download the table again, or move the Object Detail Slider to the right. I have fixed those ramps.

Blackout VectorSync VPX edition beta at that link.  Many thanks to 32assassin and JPSalas (the original author)!  I also have a few questions on the WIP link if some of the AuthorMasters don't mind having a look at that thread.

Hope you enjoy it!

Paul Bunyan is not working for me.   Portions of the table are blacked out.   I am not experiencing this on other VP10 tables but just this one.

You're the second one to ask about this.  Do you have a screen shot so I can see what is going on?  Are you running FS or DT?

BorgDog:

I am running a full screen cab.   I figured out what is causing this problem with Paul Bunyan.    Enabling Table options/Reflect Elements on Playfield causes blacked out areas, white splotches, and pink areas with dots.   I disabled this and the problem went away.     Attached is a snapshot.

Is am using VP10 Revision 2162 and based on my testing, this is a problem that is not specific to your table but all tables.    I went through my collection of tables that are working and enabled this feature and they all had the same problem.    Your table was released with this setting selected which makes me wonder why you are not having the same problem.    I tried changing some settings with my Nvidia card and nothing I did made any difference.

I just upgraded to revision 2233 and Enabling Table options/Reflect Elements on Playfield still causes artifacts to appear on top of the table.

Any chance you are on XP with an AMD card?  I was and I had the same thing with enabling reflections.  I ended up going to win 7 and an nvidia card.  I don't have the issue anymore.

Scrivvy did say "I tried changing some settings with my Nvidia card and nothing I did made any difference". I am using XP and AMD video card and get the error as well with the same options selected.  No other VPX table has encountered anything like this....

I don't know if it will make any differences, but after jpsalas and I exchanged a couple of messages and he educated me more on graphics within VP, I checked the Paul Bunyan table, and depending on when you downloaded it I had some odd image sizes for playfield, plastics etc.  Anyway I just standardized them and reuploaded the Paul Bunyan table.  Still available on my dropbox:   https://dl.dropboxus...tlieb 1968).zip

This is a quick conversion from unclewilly table. I added all the 3d models from the FP version so all credits goes to rom, the original author.
