Just figured out for pinmame tables its the non-pinmame keys F11 and F12 aren't responding, the F1-F6 keys working correct.

With original tables the same issue occurs, no F11 and F12 button assignments possible!

I am trying to get the automatic day/night cyle to work, and so far, nada. I have used it in the past, but I am getting nothing with the very latest 10.8 beta. I have changed my clock from AM to PM and vice versa, but I am not seeing any brightness differences on the tables. Are their known issues with this feature? Also, is there a FAQ or instruction on how to use this feature?

Thanks.

To wrd1972: Robot Invasion from UncleWilly has the option in the tweak menu F12 options, working for me with 10.8 1947 dx9 64 bit. Maybe the tweak menu is conflicting with the table properties menu?

One can add/edit the tweak menu with an EXTRA 'options' page with the Table1_OptionEvent script, maybe that's a workaround for now.

Yes I have the coordinates entered. I have used this before in 10.7 without issue, but now, I can't get it to work at all. I have cheated the coordinates to trick it into changing state, still no change.

What the purpose of the "apply day>night cycle" button under backdrop/visual? Does that tie into the automatic ay night cycle at all? Does anybody have this feature currently working? Might be a bug, cause I have tried what has worked in the past.

Thanks ghost. I will take a look. I am currently testing on a simple EM table.

I think we might be talking about two different things. I am trying to get this feature to work:

This feature works independently of the LUT tweaks.

Does the slider need to be ticked in the table user menu?

You can adjust the slider per table from the f12

Correct. But I am simply trying to get the automatic day/night cycle to work.

The automatic day/night cycle is where based on your latitude, longitude and time, the table will brighten up or darken based on time of day. This worked fine on 10.7, but I cant make it work on 10.8. I am trying to figure out if the process to make it work has changed, or if the feature is broken in code. I am really thinking its the later.

i've just come across a fault with the DMD display, is still showing despite the box being unticked? Maybe that's just normal and have only just noticed it?

That's a table's problem. This happen because you are playing in desktop view and they have added a text box for desktop. So simply disable that in the script or delete the text box in the desktop.

Unlock the table first, then find the line 122 in the script:

If Desktopmode or RenderingMode = 2 Then UseVPMDMD = 1 Else UseVPMDMD = 0

and change that 1 with a 0

If Desktopmode or RenderingMode = 2 Then UseVPMDMD = 0 Else UseVPMDMD = 0

(Unlock the table in the menu Table > Lock/Unlock table)

So in future when this shows up in a table i have to find the line as above and change to zero?

Not all the tables add that desktop text box to show the DMD, but all my tables do :) So if you are using the "external" DMD, then you will need to do that, or simply move the text box from the backdrop out of sight,

I'm sure this is a known issue but having trouble finding anything about it... My function keys are launching the correct menus but they are hidden behind the table (like F1). The only way for me to get to them is to enable windowed mode and alt-tab. (Using latest RC GL). Anyone else experiencing this?

I think this is a known problem with the GL version. But remember it is still in beta and many things may still change. But for now use the DX version to make changes to the tables.

What JP said - or, reduce your resolution by 1 pixel in both directions. Known problem, and hacky solution for now I guess.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
