Wow, I get stable 80 fps even on my weak system now. :D It plays really smooth, I didn't get to the multiball stage yet though I really suck at this table.

There seems to be only a minor stutter when the ball is in the right scoop(the one where the right upper flipper is) but it's no big deal. Really happy to be able to play this table now, thanks Dozer316!

Edit: Spoke too soon :P I got to the multiball stage and there not even any fps loss, still smooth. :D

So it looks (so far) like the culprit was the captive balls and the older collision script.

Obviously on super fast processors you could get away with this but on slower devices it caused the issue people were experiencing.

Good news so far and I'm happy this happened as I'll know now what is needed with any future tables that makes use of many captive balls.

Interesting. With version 6 the table is playable on my old windows 7 rig, but version 7 is totally unplayable.

I have a dual core E5800 3.2ghz 4gb ram with 4gb ram and an NVidia gforce 9400GT

I took screen grabs of the FPS when playing both.

Version 6 and Version 7 are identical with 20-21FPS, 310-315 Draw calls, 217-221 State changes same texture/paramer/objects.

The one difference is period:

version 6 (playable) has a period of 54ms with an avg max of 63

version 7 (unplayable) has a period of 65ms with an avg max of 98

So somehow lag was introduced in version 7 that my rig is experiencing. I turned just about everything off in the vp display settings.

Maybe I just won't be able to run VP10 with this rig ....

Odd, I have a core 2 duo too but actually at 2.2 ghz and it's playable. Try disabling vysnc if you have it on, it doesn't work for me for some reason. It forces the fps around 40 when I have it on.

VSync. I have mine set at 60 or the table won't play. Here are the other settings.

FPS/Vsync - 60

Max prerendered frames - 2

Force Anistotropic Texture CHECKED

Max Texture 2048

Object Detail Level (all the way to the left for performace)

Updated Dirty Harry to 1.3

- changed collision/rolling script (like dozer in JD)

- small changes on primitives

I played this table with my 660ti via vmware fusion. Vsync is on, prerendered frames 2, AA on.

Stable and buttersmooth the hole game long, no more stutter in crime wave multiball.

One bug is left, maybe someone can help me. I don´t know why this does happen but sometimes i get

4 balls instead of 3 in the regular (badge) multiball... (actually it happens with the second Multiball?!)

Mine is no vsync, 0 prerendered frames and the rest are at max. My desktop is 3.2 ghz c2d and 9600 gt, and it plays even better on that one. I'm using windows 10.

As I experience slowdowns in KingPin now and then, too, I wonder if there are similar reasons for that behavior?

I reported terrible shutter on pretty good hardware when ball enters right ramp on previous ver. Shutter is still there but its really reduced - still not perfect for me, still visible frame loss, but plays much better then before. (no shutter at all on any other vpx tables) Other then this right ramp its buttersmoth, when ball enters right ramp VERY visible frame loss.

GTX 660 - 2 GB

VP9.91 Works Great But I get shuttering in  VP10 Revision 2177

These are my video card and VP10 settings... For some reason my cab as a hard time playing some of the VP10 Games

Can anybody see anything I have set wrong?

Sometimes it crashes VP10 and down in the bottom right hand corner I'll get a window that pops up that says the displayed driver crashed and has recovered

But when I play the games on my desktop computer same setup (Intel i7 8 GB)  with no video card the games play nice

Try to turn on triple buffer and vsync in nvidia settings. In VP video settings use 1 in fps limiter for vsync. This works best for my gtx660. At least I won't use 0 in the fps limiter. Try different values when vsync does not work...

Aha, I'm kind of glad to see someone else with the same problem. On the table options on the right enable ambient occlusion, it is set at 0 on this table.

I don't know why this happens, I get around this problem by settings ambient occ. amount to 0 in the lightning to get back performance but I can't just disable it from the options. After a restart of the computer it works normally but after a couple of table loads it starts to happen. It is kind of random, I'm trying to find out exactly when it happens. Sometimes I can disable the ao sometimes I can not.

Let me put the related bug report too. :P I don't have any special settings for vpx, everythings at default and I'm on windows 10.

Does anyone else have an issue with Hercules involving the flipper "skin" no longer appearing? it worked fine in r2162, but since r2172 it doesn't display correctly anymore

Using table version BETA 1.5

Before with vp10 r2162

After with vp10 r2172 and r2177

I'm behind on testing. Even my own creations :( I will look at Hercules tomorrow but I'm sure it's a simple fix related to flipper primitives in new vp build?

Now that the site is back up, here are the 4 tables of mine that got lost in the shuffle in case anyone wants them. Downloads via my dropbox.  Include directb2s files, FS settings are for my cab that runs in portrait mode, ymmv.

Awesome, BorgDog. You're giving EM champ Loserman a run for his money, and that's saying a lot. Love the EMs on this site.

fuzzel lately told me to use "use 3d application settings" for the vsync setting in the Nvidia control panel.
