Also - I just wanted to mention that one of the tables where I still had issues (before frame pacing) was with the gs5k version of Attack from Mars (which is freaking awesome, by the way!) - whenever the ball would hit the main saucer (or the barrier in front of it), the ball would stutter - every time.

With frame pacing, it's smooth as silk. I also found myself easily getting high scores, so I'm sure it reduced the lag as well.

To me, frame pacing was comparable to getting a monitor refresh rate upgrade!

It's very interesting, frame pacing for me causes a big drop in frame rates compared to vertical sync. I've tested a few tables that are showing a pretty solid 120fps and adding frame pacing drops them to 100-109 and causes stutter. Maybe something unique about my setup?

What is your CPU and GPU?

Just tried it on my Valve Index. Sadly the screen in the headset isn't centered. It's in the bottom left now. Black surrounds the off center VR view.
It worked with VPinballX_GL 10.7.0 before.

It's broken on all of the 10.8 betas and both release candidates.

Installed GL 10.7 and it worked again.

Check that your VPX Supersampling is set to "disabled" or 100%. If it is set to 50 or 75% you may see issues like this.

Does anyone else have problems with 10.8 crashing constantly? 10.7 never did this and just making small normal edits I made all the time in 10.7 results in my entire VP program crashing and closing. Really frustrating. Is this a known thing I can fix somehow?

Most likely you are using a 10.8.1 build or an old build.

I've had this problem before, but only when editing tables that were stretching my (V)RAM levels to the limit.

Yes, ever since RC2 I have had the same problem. For me it happens during the loading process, and maybe 10% of the time for random tables that have no relation to each other. It's not really a crash in the sense that I get a crash message, but the playfield screen will freeze and eventually vanish. In Task Manager, VPX will continue to run and I will need to End Task. This was happening so often that I went back to RC1.

I will mesmerize you with my semi-circular motion!

I'm using RC2 by default on my cab now (about 200 tables) and haven't had any crashing issues.

Well I updated and now one of my spiraling wire ramps doesn't work. Why are people messing with the physics in these updates? How can I be sure my old tables won't be broken every time something is updated? Ugh.

Was there some sort of invisible ceiling lowered in this 10.8 update? It's like my ball can't be elevated beyond a certain point, which breaks a main component of my table? What did they change???????

---Never mind I fixed it. Idk what changed between versions but I raised the glass height. Spent way too long thinking it was my ramp.

Hello everyone. I'm stuck on the 1760 version because anyone later has a problem on some tables like John Wick and Pizza Time on the ball throw line. The ball cannot leave the lane as if it were hitting something. Has anyone else noticed the same thing? I am on the x64 version, the same thing happens with the GL.

Wondering if it's a table specific issue. Just played Pizza Time on the normal x64 version based on a release from a few days ago and it works normally. However, I did encounter this issue with a version of Haunted House that I had to set to the 32b version specifically and it solved that low glass issue. And with Pizza Time my DOF disappeared on 10.8 until the last few releases. I've been flipping from normal and GL to test performance and now GL is worse for me when it used to be consistently better. I suppose that's going to be the downside of grabbing from recent masters consistently?

This was fixed a long time ago, but you may have lingering physics settings in your .ini file for that table, which you can delete and start fresh.

Hey! Thanks for your help. I did that but it doesn't work. I also deleted all the content in the \user folder JIC but the issue still persists.

Hey! Thanks for your reply. Actually the issue was not present in the "Pizza Time" table, I was wrong, my bad. I'm confused with another table that can't remember the name but I'm 100% sure about the John Wick table.

That was an old bug that popped up awhile back while using old table POV's.  This import bug has been fixed for awhile.  I remember taking screenshots of John Wick specifically showing the issue.  Basically the bug was that when a POV was imported to the new .ini system, it would multiply the difficulty of the table by 100.  So if the table difficulty was suppose to be 20, it was now 2000.

Easiest fix?  Delete the table POV/.ini in your table folder.  Let is regenerate a new .ini.  If you don't want to do that, then you need to adjust the difficulty of the table using the in-game menu.  Here is the link to the old bug.  You'll see my screenshots towards the bottom:

Wondering if anyone else is having flipper issues with the vpx table CSI (Stern 2008). I think the author of the table is Thalamus.

When I hold down the flipper buttons the flippers rapidly jump up and down repeatedly.

Using vpx 10.8.0 rc3 and vpinmame 3.6-929.

I found this link. Not sure if this is related.

https://www.vpforums...showtopic=46607

Link to the CSI table script.
