This is a quick video showing the scoring going up... then down then back up again.

It's not a great video but I noticed it doing it while someone else was having a game so I quickly took a recording.

UPDATE

2.0.1 (and 1.3.1) updated 27.09.2019
-Fixed bumper scoring counting backwards when light was on.

The problem was that I used flasher.visible = 1 to turn on a flasher, but I assume that if I read that value back it was going to be 1. Wrong! :)

A flasher.visible is a boolean value, so flasher.visible = 0 is the same as flasher.visible = false, and if I read it back like using a= flasher.visible then the value of a will be 0.

But if I turn on a flasher with flasher.visible = 1 or flasher.visible = true, and if I read that value back, since it is a boolean value, I'll get -1. Those are mysteries of VBScript :) And I was using that value like it was 1, not -1, that's why the scores got lower instead of increase :)

I should have known that since it was the same when I used to read back values of dropped walls to know if lights were on or off, and yes we used dropped walls instead of lights many many years ago :)

Mystery solved! :D

Very entertaining table. There is an error in line 3354. The error occurs on the second hit when trying to catch a pokemon.

I guess you mean in the version 2 (2.0.0 or 2.0.1), but I can't reproduce it.

I had the bug several times in the DT 2.0.1 version. I was able to produce the error for the fourth time just after a boll was shot in the mystery hole.

I guess it must be something with the array, maybe it gets a higher number and the array complains. It should nice to see what's the error.

But I'll check the table again next week when I come back from my vacation, I'm going to Warzawa, and I'll visit the pinball museum there :)

And at this moment it is clear what or who will be the biggest attraction in the pinball museum.

Nice holiday in Warsaw

Script Error
Line: 3354
Index out of bounds: 'CatchID'

It was what I thought, index out of bounds means the number selected is bigger than the array. This number is a random number, and it should be easy to spot the error, but it is strange that I never got the error myself.

We'll see who is at the museum :)

The mystery hole can be repeated very well with the short backhand. Therefore, I had several times a high probability to discover the error.

UPDATE

2.0.2 Updated 30.09.2019
- fixed the "out of bounds" error

The error was when Mewtwo got activated and ready to be catched, then I used the value 151, since he was the last Pokemon, bun in the array he was the number 150, not 151, since the array goes from 0 to 150 :)

I guess you have something wrong with your setup, and only the backglass sound works. If you load a table and press F2 to open the sound manager, then you'll see that the music files plays in the "backglass" and the mechanical sounds play in the "table". Ypu can force all the sounds to play on the backglass, but that is for cabinets, as a normal computer only has one sound controller and it plays everything. At least this is my case. So I don't know how you have your sound setup, so go to the VPX menu, preferences, audio options, and check that you have the right options there.

Thanks JP, this worked.  Not sure why, but I had to mess with it a few times to get it to work and change the music to the backglass.  But eventually it got it going.

This table is awesome.  I love that the pinball changes and upgrades as you play.  One thing I noted is that if you are playing with other people, and you upgrade to ultra ball, when the next person starts their turn it only goes down one grade, so they start with a great ball (same degrade from master to ultra).  Seems like it should be resetting completely.  I haven't played in one player mode to notice if it does the same thing.

One question, I've been browsing through the forums, and trying to figure out another piece since I am still very new to this.  I have a standup table, with a separate backglass and full color pinDMD v3.  I'm trying to figure out if there is a way I can move the DMD to that pinDMD, or if this is something I won't be able to do with any of the awesome virtual pinball machines created like this.

Thanks!

To move the DMD from my original tables you'll need to use the FlexDMD which has been recently released as an alpha version. It includes a complete script to make use of the pinDMD in my original tables.

About the balls being used by other players, yes, that's a bug (or a feature if you like :) ) It was meant that you simply loose a power level on the next ball. But it was meant for a single player. The way I wrote it the next player will "steal" that and get a free ball upgrade :) I guess I could have reset that ball. But I thought it was fun to "steal" something from the other player. Just like in many tables were you lock balls, and then come the next player, lock one ball and get a multiball with all the balls you had locked.

Awesome, thanks.  I'll look into FlexDMD.

And gotcha about the ball upgrade.  Just wanted to make sure you knew.  I'm cool with stealing, it balances it out when playing with people competing for high scores :)

Yes, it balance a little the scores, and remember that those ball upgrades are on a timer, so they go back to the standard ball after a while.

Just wondering if anyone has used this table with the zblaunch feature as I don't have a separate launch button and use the plunger successfully in other games (Terminator 2 for example).  I updated Pokemon_Pinball in DOF Config Tool, but didn't see any change in behaviour.  Thanks in advance.
