Hi Sinbad,

new Buck Rogers is even better.  (edited plunger comment, it is fine :)).  it still feels a little fast compared to the real Buck Rogers my brothe in law owns but as we discussed that may not be a bad thing, seems very fun as it.  :)

Shockman:  press F6 and change the sound option to "tone", offers a different sound effect that maybe is more to your liking?

I was talking about a plunger the way yours is set up. releasing a plunger you set up in VP, to work in VP, with a joystick axis, will not do the code that is in the plunger release code, like play a sound and fire an impulse plunger, and as far as I know, there is no command equivalent, that you can use to put a duplicate of the code. The interest in plunger key up is not really a key being untouched, but the firing of the plunger.

ok, never mind my message about the buck rogers stroke length, it's fine as is at 150.  I gather I must have forgotten to pull the plunger to "calibrate it" at the start of the table. Doing so extends it a bit and that's all it needed.  Thanks and sorry for the misunderstanding.

New vector is playing very well, had a decent game of 1.2 million, I find the speed to be just fine, excellent job on this Sindbad!

I never calibrated one, but logic would suggest that you also have to push it in all the way to calibrate it, if it operates like a real one.

Sharky's is playing really good here after I set a nice dead zone on my analog nudging device.

bodydump:  I just tried the Bugs Bunny table, what an amazing light show on those ramps.  This version seems to play great, thanks for letting us test it.  Is there still lots to do?  Looks absolutely great and imho seems to play very well!

Sinbad,

Hey man, thanks for the great tables. Been playing the latest Buck Rogers and Vector. Really love how fast the games play. Nice touch. They need a remake of the sounds for these old tables though. Can't you just hear a "begee begee" noise in your head once in a while playing Buck. Just sayin. Keep up the good work.

Yes. I need to edit that post and all that use a link and not point to my signature for the link. It is back to one version that is used for DT and FS, But there will be separate versions again next beta.

It's best to use the links in the first post of this thread, and if they are dead, the last post about that table, in the thread

looks like my PC has reached its limit with 91x....probably wont do vp10.

probably stay in 91x

there is a lot to consider in a decent gaming PC.

what do the PC wizards recommend to look for in GPU and CPU speed for gaming?

CPU: anything 3 GHZ or higher will be enough.

GPU: NVidia Geforce is preferred. You can pick up a GTX 750 for a cheap price and it should handle VP 10 pretty well.

thanks P......i was wondereing if there is more than GHZ.

EX: my old XP out of the box had a 2.2 single core 3500.

i found a used 2.4dual core 4500.

nobody makes single core anymore.

if the CPU, GPU and MB is to slow it will be a waste of time because it will create what is known as a "bottleneck" because some of the hardware is too slow for the high performance gfx card.

is there anything else to look for in the CPU, GPU and the speed of the MB?

Not sure what you mean by 'speed of motherboard'. Most curernt motherboards will do the job. Gigabyte, ASUS (not the ASRock line), and MSI should work well. You may find even better deals if you look for a CPU and MB combo. Sites like NewEgg sell combos like that and you can save money on purchasing a 'combo deal'. Although you haven't mentioned it, get 8 GB of RAM for your new system. It will handle anything short of massive (and I mean massive) amounts of Skyrim mods. :D

So it should be bundled with the .vpx then?

Sorry for not anwering you early. Not necesarily, you can share it with the table as a link to the Wheel or upload it here when the table is released. :D you can do with it anything you want, it's yours now ;) thanks and keep up the good work.

edit: typos, as always lol

Hey guys, a question for those authors converting their older tables to VP10.

Do you think the end user will ever be able to upgrade their older collections or is this a tedious process that needs to be left to the experts?

>>>>>Not sure what you mean by 'speed of motherboard'.<<<<<

chas>>>>>....a basic pc can be done on the cheap with a $50 MB but i dont think a cheap build will work for a decent gaming PC.  a better MB will be needed fro decent gaming.

PD>>>>Although you haven't mentioned it, get 8 GB of RAM for your new system. It will handle anything short of massive (and I mean massive) amounts of Skyrim mods. :D s

chas>>>>i could be wrong but most modern MBs have 4 slots for RAM capable of 4 8g sticks of RAM at 32gs.....i think XP was 2 slots for RAM.

so i guess 2 4gs sticks of DDR3 1600 will = 8gs.... i was definitly looking at a cabinet with plenty of good cooling vents and 8-16gs of DDR3 1600 RAM.

in the PC wizards opinion, if i get a good MB with 8-16gs or more hDDR3 1600 will it still need a card because it will need alot of fans for cooling for the card?

Hey chas. Id recomend a site like pcpartpicker. It will match the compatibility of the parts and find them for you cheap online. I just put together my new mame cabinet pc. And upgraded my pincab pc using the site

For pincab i went with an i7. 8 gb ram. Gtx 750 ti 2gb ftw edition

For the mame emulator cab an i5 8gb ram gtx750 ti ftw

Asrock z97 pro 4 mb on both

Windows 7 64bit

Piad about 800 for each but i already had the hdds.
