will this work with future pinball?


Yes, the docs that come with the new board/plunger show how to set it up with FP.
Special question: Does it also work with FP under non-english Windows OS ? (Mot-Ion/PBW plunger+motion sensor cannot be configured on German W7x64 with FP, only with VP)

I honestly can't answer that question myself. I'm not sure why the Nanotech kit didn't work.

Hopefully someone on that side of the earth will let us know!

Had the same Problem with Win8 64 German.

Solution is already out there.

FP needs an english OS ! ..... or the english dinput8.dll in the install folder as workaround

Ordered 1 one year ago.

I spend hours to try to calibrate it with no success and suddently it failed. the plunger was not responding at all.
Of course i tried to get in touch with the support by email.

Incredible !!! after3 months i received a mail with the following : Did anybody replied to you ? Of course i said no but then nobody contacted me.

The [Nanotech plunger] is shit and there is no support.

Last week i broke a fuse and trash it.
I was building a PINCAB and i went to another solution with a micro switch.

It is really a shame thatwe can be stolen like this.

Thank you for reading this. I hope it will prevent at least one person to be stolen [by a company other than the one this topic is about].

Xenon590 - if you bought it over a year ago you are talking about the Nanotech plunger, aren't you? This thread is about a different product which sounds good from the feedback I have read.

Wow, somebody is angry at the Nanotech kit.

In fact I did know what I was posting about. The problem of not being able to configure ANY controller under a non-english Windows lies with FuturePinball.

So it doesnt matter if you use the Nanotech, the Virtuapin, your wifes USB-vibrator or whatever controller. The creator of FuturePinball just didn't expect that anyone outside the U.S. would ever use his software...

NO controller works with it by default if you use a non-english windows version. clear?

 

It is perfectly fixed with the solution provided in the other post.

 

ah, and if you are finally able to set it up, the Virtuapin Plunger works like a charm! :-)

At this time, the manufacturer has failed to fulfill the promised schedule of completion. We are working on acquiring manufacturing rights, so we can expedite order fulfillment. Until then, orders will be filled, but not at our expected time of 2-3 weeks.

My apologies for that, and I'll keep everyone who's ordered kits updated as we move forward.

Back on subject. What happened to the whole manufacturing process Paul? By what you were saying it made it seem you had the whole duping of the nanotech kit down and solved. Maybe you can see what Nanotech was running into with their challenges of making the kit for any type of profit. Not that easy.

Anyways, good luck with keeping up for a extended period. Probably best to pull the product till you get a good stock of inventory.

OUCH!!! I'm glad I ordered one back in May, and Paul did me right!!!!

 

I will say it works great on the tables that support the plunger, obviously if the table doesn't support it, it doesn't work but that is not a virtuapin plunger issue. The once you set the options in VP the nudging is great. I don't have a nanotech so I can't comment on the pros and cons but I like stuff that is plug and play and the VP plunger kit meets and exceeds my needs. If you are on the fence about getting one....preorder.....it's worth the money. Just in case you want to see my setup head over to the HP forums and look at the tiki god cabinet build.

 

A question for Noah/Paul though, can I possibly obtain a copy of your xpadder config files? I would like to see how you mapped a shift key with the VP kit.

I received an early VirtuaPin kit ( as part of a full VirtuPin Cabinet) and it's not worked from day #1; I'm also waiting on a replacement since end of May-ish...

It's a standard WMS/Bally plunger rod.

We didn't "dupe" anything. It's our own, original design.

Ok, reverse engineer, w/e you want to call it. It gets recognized as the Nanotech PBW controller in VP and FP, so you took the firmware and used on your design. The plunger faceplate is exactly the same so customers can drop in the new kit and go. Wire outs are the same due to the same firmware.All in all, I hope you work out the manufacturing process as the kit seems to be superior in its self calibration to the old PBW kit.

Lol, there is no 'firmware', it's just a gamepad, like the nanotech kit, but made with entirely different hardware. The reason it could be considered a 'drop in' replacement is because I made sure that the profile vp is using is nearly identical the the pbw one (done for compatibility reasons). If you use it with an older version of vp, provided it is at least 9.13, you would have to configure all the buttons/axes your self as it would be seen as just another generic gamepad.

I assume the plunger and module is fully compatibile with an iPAC (as I already have one). I am mostly interested in this for the nudge capability. Any chance you would offer the module, without the plunger, as a stand alone item at a lesser price point? Thanks much, love the store. I purchased all the buttons, coindoor and hardware there at Virtuapin for my cabinet build. Finishing up the cabinet assembly now and getting ready to start the electronics and monitor install. Also, thanks for your other contributions to the hobby.
