The beta version that came out around February 1st decreased performance on many tables for me, flashers were still working, but I would get frame drops even though my GPU load would be under 40%.... I may try a version on github, for now back to an older version.
Thanks to all who make this stuff possible.

Hmmm, seems like we could borrow the basic emulation of the chip from MAME: https://github.com/m...chine/timekpr.h

Hi
Using the build (VPinMAME-sc-3.6.0-908-3cf471e-win-x86) and Scared Stiff appears to have sound problems with certain call outs (e.g. skill shot, coffin ball lock, deadheads). Not sure if this has already been reported. Had no issues when using an earlier 3.6 build...

Find the official and final VPM 3.5 release here, as this thread is only about the new beta 3.6:
http://www.vpforums....&showfile=11571
So in the tradition of the VP(X) alpha/beta thread, here is a beta version of what is (hopefully) to become the next VPM 3.6 release:
It includes all kinds of ROM clones adds, bugfixes, etcetc that happened since the last official VPinMAME release by the VPM team.
(see https://github.com/v.../commits/master for a raw 'changelist' of what they did, or the accompanying .txt files for a not so cluttered one)
Please test this, and give feedback on the new things (if they work or not), cause then there can be an official release soon (i hope).
Copy the files into your VPM directory, and run setup.exe again. There, press the Install button (with each new build) and remember to Setup the Defaults again!
In case you have an external DMD connected that you want to use with VPM, please move the dlls from the respective subdirectory (Pin 2 DMD or PinDMD1 or PinDMD2 or PinDMD3) directly into your VPM directory!
Same goes for DMDext that is a unified DMD engine.
For the adventurous pro users that know what they are doing: Find the very latest builds (incl. potentially buggy/WIP improvements!): https://github.com/v...pinmame/actions
Hello Toxico, thank you for sharing the Vpinmame3.6 beta file,
I am new at this. I simply play VPX from the desktop of my notebook, I have vpx1.08 and vpinmame 3.5, I don't want to do something wrong, that's why my query, I unzip the file VPINMAME3.6BETA.zip and paste all the content and replace it or do I have to exclude some folder or file thanks for your help.

Anyone having issues with the display on system 80 roms w/ external DMD? Tested Black Hole and Haunted House, both seem to have issues turning off segments, meaning they don't, so assume you've got all 0000000's to start, you score 500 point, it doesn't change the 0 to a 5, it becomes an 8, eventually all segments becomes the 8 with a vertical line in the center. Emulation is correct in the VPM DMD Window
VPM 3.6.0.929

Hi fren,
you're right, but...
IMHO it's not a problem with Vpinmame itself, because same behavior with v3.5 (I tried it few minutes ago)
But a issue with Freezy's extDMD (maybe worth a try with an older DMDdevice.dll)
Yep most likely. I guess that's info for freezy if I can pinpoint where it stopped working.

Hey guys... not sure if this is VPM related, but I thought I would start here. I'm getting this error, and another one that is "could not create direct sound". Haven't got these in the past, it just started today.
