I've been away from the VP scene for a while (had to move so my pin got pushed into storage)

This is really cool! Still need to install it and test it out though. Cant thank you dev guys enough for keeping on top of this.

I'm finding that latest revision causes sound to fail on loading of tables much more frequently than previous versions. It happens when launching tables over and over from within vp.exe directly without shutting it down each time.

Wow. I leave to go to the Texas Pinball Festival and return to a bit of chaos here.

Actually glad I was gone for the worst of it, as I would have been really disappointed to think this had all come to an end.

Happy to see the work is continuing on such an important project and the anticipation of the "Secret" project is great as well.

I will miss the big Friday updates though. :)

I'm hoping the secret project is a BAM. Style setup for VP!

That at least on mb has nothing to do with dx9 version of vp. It has to do with how I made the lights. It will be fixed on the mb update

Thank you to everyone involved in this project. The last few DX9 test versions have great. However I am curious, has anyone been able to get Pinball X frontend to work with the DX9 tests? When I made DX9 my primary VP my Pinball X frontend would close with an error after cycling through a couple tables. Sorry if this is the wrong spot to post, it started this issue when switching to DX9.

I had no trouble with PinballX using the DX9 port.   If PinballX is crashing on you, does it give you a "Details" button?   If yes, click it, and pass the info contained in the report along to Tom Speirs on pinballx.net.    It might help pinpoint the issue.

Wow my phone glitched. Sorry about that. I am using Pinball X 1.77. I will use you advice and send the details to Tom. Figured I would ask here first in case I wasn't the only one. Thank you.

Pinballx works fine but I had to ensure I set VP as admin. Before that, I did have issues. I did rename the vp dx9 port to vpinball.exe though.

so nobody running XP has seen this out of memory error?

Test11 gives me an out of memory error as soon as I run it on my cab. It works fine on my dev desktop, which is the same chipset/video.

The big difference is the cab has ledwiz.

config. windows xp svc pack 3, intel e5800 3.2ghz, video = nVidia 2gb main card (playfield/backglass) and 1gb dmd screen.

vp 9.2.1 latest build runs no problem on the cab and other test versions of dx9 worked fine.

Ideas?

Same here.

Out of memory unless I disconnect the USB going to the LedWiz.
