Howdy all,

Today I started having a bit of a play with very early conceptual layout of a primitive based Deadworld mech for a VP10 version of Judge Dredd.

So far it seems to look reasonable but I haven't got anywhere near far enough to check out the current mech and associated logic.

What I am wondering at the moment is if anyone has properly modeled the mech before as at the moment I'm just using a couple of flat discs and a late model stern pop bumber lamp for the inner planet.

Let me know if you get a chance - Cheers.

I have not modeled the dead world, this is just a quick job with the easiest method for mapping a sphere, the image of the sphere comes from Noah's photobucket.
The discs you can get shaping VPX walls, starts from perfect circle, and model the slots where the balls stop,
now export your project to obj Mesh.
Then, what you have exported you must be edited in a 3D program and imported back to VP,

if you don't have familiarity with 3D editor, find someone who does the work for you,

in any case, you did the right size of the disks that adapt to your table, or use flat discs.

Cheers Max, I'll use that during the dev phase of this game.

I'll shout out as things progress for some help with the models if I can't find the time to get my head around it myself.

Dozer.

Modeling that would be good to practice on in Blender yourself because that really is a simple model. Chopped sphere.

I think you should keep what you have though to use as the collider and just the model for cosmetic.

And......I think I have vpx Judge Dredd but it's only converted from the VP8 version. Needs a lot of work and correct sizing but maybe it will give you a head start if you want it.

Hey there, no worries, I'll take a look at it if you don't mind.

I had a pretty good night and managed to get a reasonable looking animation in for the ball lift and crane so depending on how the rom works (which I'll hook up when I get some time) the end result will hopefully be ok.

I have to bail for a few days as a freelance job has come up but I'll get back to it later in the week.

Gemini VPX beta2

a few tweaks to physics and scoring logic but mostly a bunch of AWESOME graphics updates from hauntfreaks!  Thanks for all the work.  He also put a very nice wheel image up in the downloads section.. http://www.vpforums....&showfile=11233

Table download available here includes directb2s for FS and I believe FS settings are back to my cabinet in portrait mode:  https://dl.dropboxus.../Gemini VPX.zip

Another update, more graphics and play tweaks this time thanks to spending some time with sliderpoint over the weekend.  Should pretty much wrap this up for me until VP10 is final unless someone tells me something breaks. I've started the next project (Space Walk, Gottlieb 1979) over in a WIP thread... http://www.vpforums....topic=32247&hl=

On the opening thread, is that the current repository of VP10 tables? Are there other areas where more tables are available?

Latest amh build is amazing! Fren has really put every vp10 enhancement into this build. Thanks and hope for even more updates in future. As for dof simple comment out dof calls to 132 and shaker is not a problem for now. Thanks again to everyone involved in this build.

No lines but dof calls. search for 132. Rem out or... Remove shaker configs from dof config for amh. If needed I can tell you exact lines to rem out in script only like 3 lines total
Rem out line 5040 and
Rem out Line 7783
That should fix it(no shaker but will fix issue till Arngrim releases new dof mod)

Haunted, did you see this post?  Search for 'light 67, 7" and remove/comment it out.

Or... just stop failing prison mode ;-)

Based on the Toei Animation "Captain Future" series I started a original table in VPX.

It uses UltraDMD which has to be installed.

For 3 monitor cabinets

If Table1.ShowDT = false then UltraDMD.SetVisibleVirtualDMD false

has to be removed from the script.

Used mp3 files are in a subfolder of the music folder.

Ultradmd files in a subfolder of the tables folder.

This is going to take forever to download, can you zip up the mp3s and gifs and such so we don't have to do this 1 by 1?
