I don't know what is exactly your problem

Perhaps you can try to download one of the two first issues of this table "BrideOfPinbot.uw.V1.02.FS.zip" or "BrideOfPinbot.uw.V1.01.WS.zip"

Then if you play it, I think that the nvram of this table will be copied over the current one (but I'm not sure)

Hope it can help you

When you first start this table up, it will have a message saying.."If the speak face is not showing when first players ball is released, please restart for proper face calibration."

This message will stay on for a long moment. After this message, the face will roll into each of 4 positions. (It is calibrating. Don't do anything yet.)

You need to wait until the face is finished calibrating, before you start the game. (It only moves 4 times and you will see the 4 different faces. Then it won't move until you start game.)

If the speak face isn't showing when the first ball is released when starting game, then simply restart the table.

If this is your very first time running this table on your system, you will need to press the number 7 on your keyboard,(Hit the number 7 only after waiting for all of the same processes to complete as shown above), before it will allow you to insert coins. Alot of Williams tables are like this.

If hitting the number 7 on keyboard doesn't help then download nvram seen below.

If you still have a problem running this table, download the NVRAM I have included as an attachment at bottom of post. Extract the the contents of zip file and copy "bop_l7.nv"  into your nvram folder, located in the folder where you have Visual Pinball installed. Overwrite old one if needed.

The only thing this nvram will do, is make you not have to press the number 7 on your keyboard to allow for credits to be accepted. you will still need to wait for calibration of the head each time you start this table.

And I have turned the volume up all the way.

Hope this helps you get this table running.

I know how to open and close the coin door. Use the END key on your Keyboard.  I will let ta2686 explain the coin door settings,(Or somebody else who knows all about this.) as I am not as qualified at these things as he is.

I would rather have him tell you, than me give you info that may be wrong.

Did you try the head tests that are provided in the ROM menu?  These will also calibrate the head mechanism if needed and provide error information if there are issues.

To get to those tests:

When the game is in attract mode press the END key to open the coin door

Press the 0 key to enter the main menu

Using the 8 and 9 keys cycle through the menu items until you see the Tests menu item

Press the 0 key to enter that menu item

Using the 8 and 9 keys cycle through the menu items until you see the Head Test items

There are three tests for the head:

- T12 - Head Motor/Switch Test

- T13 - Head Coil Test

- T14 - Head Cycle Test

To perform each of these tests press the 0 key to enter test, use the 8,9 and 0 keys to perform certain functions of the test, press the 7 key to exit the test

To exit the ROM menu continually press the 7 key until you return to attract mode

Press the END key to close the coin door

To see what each test does and which button to press, follow the manual provided here:

http://mirror2.ipdb....Full_Manual.pdf

Otherwise I would suggest deleting the nvram and cfg files and redownloading the ROM for the table to see if that fixes your issues.

Hope this helps.

The tests seem to have problems on changing from the complete face. im also getting the head motor switch error p64 ran the test to no luck, which according to the manual means the switch is not closing fast enough. is there a way to directly control the ball so I dont have to make the shot to test it?

The only way that I know of to do that is to use the debugger contained within VP - but I have never used it so I could not tell you if it will help or not,

You would need to understand VB scripting to use the debugger I think.

Throwing balls. Start table, hit escape, select Debug Window, click on the checkbox "Throw balls in Player". Use mouse and left click to throw balls

I can comment on the head/motor switch error, it works for me

after reading the manual, apparently its not detecting the switch for the human face but it also messes up on transitions involving the eye face. Since its working for everyone else but me it has to be something wrong with how i have visual pinball set up. any ideas?

and just to be clear when it says to reset if it is on the wrong face when the game starts do i put the ball in play first?

I prefer this version to the VPX version, maybe due to my laptop limitations?

DELL Inspiron  Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz  8GB Memory.

To my taste the VPX version is too dark, too fast, too "cosmetic". I also get a lot of stuttering. This is a GREAT table!

Thanks a lot UW
