PD if you change the x/y rotation to 360 and x-scale to .75 the table wont appear stretched on your 16:9 monitor, you wont have oval bumpers or an oval ball. I can tell you are building a 4:3 table in fullscreen mode on a 16:9 otherwise looks good smile.gif
If you have a widescreen 16:9 monitor and want to play your VP9 desktop tables without them being stretched, check out This Link

I've been actually working on the table in windowed mode. After it is completed I will have to make some adjustments so it looks right in fullscreen mode. I am getting a new CPU that should be in by early next week that may take care of some issues which include fullscreen mode video problems on VP for me.

When I post a screenshot I revert to fullscreen mode for the screenshot. biggrin.gif

Finished for the day on working on the table.

For those that are curious about the Giant Sark moving target, here's the current WIP: Tron WIP 6-16-11

oh goodie a new toy to play with and Tron at that! double goodies! wow you can run vp91.2 in windowed mode and it works? I haven't been able to use windowed mode since vp8! and what's this about finishing for the day? we're all waiting very patiently for this table so you just get right back in there mister and no rest until it's done! just fooling wid' ya' great looking table so far PD! if it's half as good as HH is I can't wait ( i just hope it plays a bit slower as Hogans Heroes was a VERY quick table) I never had a game go by as fast asthe ones on HH! I think I broke records on ball drain times!

just played the heck out of it! very cool I like that skill shot with the lower left flipper! I suck at it but it's a neat concept! and kudos to that moving Sark target! I like the multi level tables too it breaks it up a bit while still keeping the ball flow! nice 'light' walls looks real cool and plays well! and that playfield is very different and a darn good original idea!

Was able to narrow down the problem I have been having with some images. It has something to do with the table blueprint that I export from my Tron table to use to put playfield images on and then add using the VP image manager. I re-exported the table blueprint and then added an image to it and then also to make sure, I saved the edited image (using GIMP) as a 24 bit file. The VP image manager shows the blueprint image in the manager but VP won't show the image on any wall that I want to use the image.

Anyone know why this is happening? Not in anguish here as I have other things on the table I am working on so it is a bridge that I can cross later, just a curious problem. Also need to mention that I have done the export table blueprint before with success (slingshot plastics).

Does VP allow more than one blueprint to be used in a table?

I save my plastics as a separate PF image just in bitmap form. My play fields are always saved as jpegs just to keep them from getting mixed up. as for two bp's you lost me there. just save your pf as a jpeg image and your plastics as a bitmap naming them as you go I use PF loaded and PL loaded to tell them apart in the editor but you can name them whatever you feel like. then anytime I want to change anything on either one i can just export that image, change it then reload it back in. just with gimp make sure you specify the file name or else it'll save it as a gimp image with the "XCF" extension instead of bmp or jpeg and its location as it likes to dump everything into your 'my pictures' folder
did this help ya' any?

I think I got the gist of it. For now the workaround I am using is doing well, but will keep that in mind in future editing. Thanks! biggrin.gif

Some more image work done. Also changed the skillshot playfield a little bit to make the shot more consistent, it still remains a challenging shot. biggrin.gif

oh it was consistent for me, I consistently missed that skill shot! Out of 5 games I made it twice! told ya' I suck! but if it's easier maybe I won't cry in frustration this time stunned.gif

It's a difficult shot and if you made it twice out of five times, you aren't doing bad at all. It will take practice to get it going well.

Just have some plastics work to do and a few more objects to place for multiball, then all thats left is to import audio and get the code written and the table will be ready for release.

Added a couple of decorations and also after some inspiration, have made the MCP animated. The MCP looks like it's talking (will have him say 'Sark' alongside the animation).

okay I am not that knowledgeable with Tron. What is an MCP? I figured out Sark only after I saw him (it?) move! you think we are all as caught up as you are in Tron trivia! Man, it's been over 25 years since I've seen it. heck I am happy to remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday! Going back that long a time, um..no.

The MCP is the master program that was controlling the whole computer realm. It was created by Dillinger after he got a promotion from video game designs he stole from Flynn.

The more stuff I put on my table the slower it loads lol. Out of curiousity I checked to see how large of a file my table is, and it is 58.3 MB and counting (audio has still to be added later).

Got multiball scripted in and things seem to run fine in multiball. Going to start getting rest of audio clips gathered edited and imported into the table.
