This latest version of Ghostbusters doesnt have direct b2s support/DOF

Sorry! It was the meaning to keep the DOF command. Too much "cut & paste" and I deleted the old script!. Give me a few hours and I'll upload a revised version with the DOF commands.

Well, that UltraDMD is minimal, just the score, but at least that DMD is not empty and you can follow the score :)

Guys a quick question. I have been running VP9.9 for a while no issues.  I loaded up the latest version of VPX and loaded this table in my cab but it is showing it in desktop mode.  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it rotate correctly to full screen.  Is there a special setting in VPX?  I appreciate the help.

JP,

As always, this table is so incredibly fun to play.  Thanks for sharing.  Your VPX Flash table is still one of my favorites, as the physics and sounds are the closest I've played to real pinball.

One thing I noticed after installing the latest version of your Slimer table, the table now has ball stutter on my system, when version 1.0.1_DOF did not have any ball stutter at all.  It was actually one of the smoothest tables on my cab.

Your Smurfette and Gargamel Park tables have the same ball stutter with the new version in vpx 10.2.1 on my system.  The older versions without UltraDMD play butter smooth, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the UltraDMD implementation?

All of your other updates for vpx 10.2.1 play even better and smoother than their previous versions.  For example AFM, TOTAN and Papa smurf are amazingly better than when played with vpx 10.1 versions.  None of these tables use UltraDMD, so I'm thinking maybe there is a connection.

Not sure if there is a fix for the ball stutter in the other table updates, especially Ghostbusters, but wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this and of course, I'm hoping there is a fix. : )

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide and many thanks again for all your work!  Happy New Year!

You can always comment/delete the UltraDMD lines. There are just a few of them :) Just search for UltraDMD in the script.

if you have 2 speaker systems, the latest version is playing back all sounds to the inside of the cab system, to fix that until maybe there will be an update, move

fx_Enter

fx_Esc

fx_Next

fx_Previous

and

all sounds starting from gb_blast1 to the last one

to bgout with the toggle bg out button in the sound manager menu of vp

Thanks JP.  Your previous version without UltraDMD plays great (no ball stutter for me), so I'll stick with that one.  I was hoping someone else noticed the performance hit with UltraDMD implemented, but again, this is a great table and I will use the previous version.

Thanks!

I too have much slower performance with 1.2 than with 1.0.1.  Will try commenting out ultraDMD stuff to see if that is it.  Great table though, love the call outs in attractmode.

ok I commented out UltraDMD stuff and works again with over 300fps on my system (with ultraDMD it was only 89FPS).  very easy to do, just search for UltraDMD and comment out

wondering if my ultraDMD is messed up somehow.  Anyone have no drop in fps with ultraDMD?

'Dim UltraDMD

'Sub LoadUltraDMD
'    Set UltraDMD = CreateObject("UltraDMD.DMDObject")
'    UltraDMD.Init
'End Sub

If Table1.ShowDT = False then
        lrail.Visible = False
        rrail.Visible = False
        ' start the UltraDMD
        'LoadUltraDMD
    End If

If DesktopMode = 0 Then
        'UltraDMD.DisplayScoreboard PlayersPlayingGame, CurrentPlayer, Score(1), Score(2), Score(3), Score(4), "Ball " & Balls, "Ghosts " & Ghosts(CurrentPlayer) + GhostsHundreds(CurrentPlayer) * 100
    End If

I added the UltraDMD very quickly, just to have the score, and I didn't notice any difference, but now that I turn off the vsync and look at the fps with F11 I see a big change, from 260 fps to 83 fps. My monitor runs at 120Hz so I didn't notice any difference from 120fps which I usually get, to the 82fps.

So, if you want the UltraDMD, the best you can do is to find the timer called "GameTimer", which is only used for the ball rolling sound in this table, and increase the timer interval from 10 to 100 (or higher), and then the UltraDMD will behave much better :) The ball rolling sound will stop/start/change a little slower, but that's ok, you won't notice that  :)

I also have stutters with ultra DMD. My pc spec: i5, gtx970, 16gb RAM. I play all VPX tables with 4xAA, with reflection on and there is no problem, all of them play smooth. Is Ultra DMD realy that "performance thief"?
