My VP table collection is 40gig of vpt/vpx tables and directb2s files (20 gig of vp9 tables) so I guess you would need at least 9 DVDs to distribute it

What are you trying to say here? Can't get whether boasting or saying he had no way near a "Full collection" anyway?

Excuse me?

And just what would you call someone selling VP, VPM, PinballX (at the time, without permission), and authors' tables WHO DID NOT give permission?

What is that exactly?

BTW, multiple accounts are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

Are there no rules where you guys come from?

Let me help you ... http://www.vpforums....tion=boardrules

I don't want to participate to this little and beautiful comedy. I think everything is correct: error admitted, al things about dvd removed from forum, declarations done. IMHO a ban is too much for me but the message sent from Noah that Tom is selling authors' works to earn money is the worst thing... I think that all of this could be managed better without offend honest people.

I agree tom towers skills alone should keep him a contributing member here! A warning would have been best approach I think. Great builders are rare and he has provided some of the best looking tables for vpx in such a short time. Paul I hope you reconsider the ban.

I appreciate your level-headedness in the matter, I really do. This is definitely NOT comedic, and I hate banning anyone, let alone contributing authors.

BUT

When they disagree with a decision I make on behalf of our very upset VIPs whose work is ON that DVD, corrupting their uploads is an offensive that is met with an immediate ban. That policy has been in place for years, as has the policy of banning multiple accounts to circumvent a ban.

As you can see by a few members' comments, there is normally zero tolerance for redistributing or selling the content of our site, and I was willing to work with Tom.

I still am, as I want to be fair, BUT, in no way what he was doing was right. He may not have understood that at the time, and that's why I'm trying to be understanding.

The name calling, multiple accounts, disabling uploads is NOT helping matters. If you guys just calm down and contact me, I'm sure we can work this out.

Thank you.

I think you are right, and I wrote a long post earlier (which I then couldn't paste!)

It looks to me that this may have basically started out with someone wanting to do a localised Italian site and make VP accessible to that audience and in doing so thought a DVD 'ready to go' shipped at cost (locally!) was a decent idea.
Obviously with the benefit of hindsight and reading the TOS that is not the case, but I can see where the idea came from.
Better would have been to do the site and guide and simply link back here.

I assume at that point a level of misunderstanding/ a degree of 'lost in translation' may have occurred

I get the feeling that the original idea was not born out of profiting and malice, however I agree that multiple accounts etc. does nothing other than make everything look much worse and fan the flames.

Everyone take a deep breath, accept where mistakes have been made and learn from them

I hope this can be resolved with apologies and common sense

I disagree with Noah on nearly everything, so brace yourselves, in this case I fully agree with his actions. I'm not really sure there's much more to discuss, he's given an ultimatum, there's nothing left. Lost in translation and misunderstanding can only carry you so far, apologies and attempts at explanation are nearly a universal language and there's no excuse beyond that.

I mean I agree with him on a lot of things, I just never say it lol

Will there  be a VIP class for 2015?

Sure. Please start a topic in the VIP Lounge and post your nominations.

Sorry to have not done that. I usually do it in October, but my mom was very ill. I didn't even make Expo last year.
