I mentioned this in another thread somewhere, and if I knew how to do it I would.  I would like to see "Blackout" which I re-drew some months back... with the new physics of VP10 but more importantly a way to make the actual blackout feature work (on the original table if you achieved blackout, the GI lighting would go dark while in that mode).  If anyone can do that, I'll give you all the files you need, and if you need anything more in the way of artwork I will give you that too.

Would also love a VP10 version of the already great looking "Mystic."  That machine is brutal.  I've been trying to beat my friends high score of 1.5 million on that thing for months and just ended up twitching on the floor.  I'm thinking a VP10 version may not be as brutal.  I'm looking for any edge I can get here.

if you are willing to rebuild the plastics and apron and a nice background image. I might be willing to finish this table.

if not I pretty much did all the hard work for you.

some suggestions,

-your PF image was missing a big chunk of area in the apron area,  witch made the PF appear warped when built in VP

I some updates

- I rebuild the code; fully working code for VP10

-padded and sized down the PF image

- made primitive  textures for the primitive objects,  drop targets,  stand-up targets and bumper caps and spinners

if you wan't to have the blackout mode you might need to get a full service manual.  the one in IPD is not complete.

http://mirror2.ipdb....rs_Handbook.pdf

I'm using solenoid 23 to turn on the GI lamps ( this solenoid is not listed in the manual).

I've already re-drawn the plastics.  Would I just need to separate them?  (I didn't know how to draw them individually and place them on the original table and make them line up with the plastics posts, so I basically exported the original image, redrew over the original positions, then just re-uploaded the single image back into JP's original table.

Also, I'm not sure I understand what large chunk of playfield is missing?  I thought the whole thing was there.

I'll see if I can order a service manual from somewhere.  Thanks for the info!

I haven't been to Disney in many years, But remember back then if you didn't get to the newer park's gate early, they fill up and sell out and you can't get in! Perhaps tickets can be bought online now so this doesn't happen..

Hey 32assassin, I found this: https://www.tradebit...-service-manual.

Sure, I hate to pay $10 for a pdf file, especially not knowing if what you need is in it, but I'm willing to give it a shot if you think what you need will most likely by in it.  And I can also take those redrawn plastics and break them out into individual files and tweak them in any other way you need.  But I will need specific guidance on how you would need them delivered to you.

the manual may not be needed anymore,

I watched a few videos and found that the blackout mode is achieved by cutting power to the GI and lamps by a relay.

the relay is controlled by solenoid 15  ( I think)

this actually needs to be coded the same way the EM tables are codded; something I can't do.

I had to update the code,  the manual was not very specific and I thought switch 28 and 36 where slingshot triggers.

turns out they are switches that are triggered when all the drop targets in a bank are hit.

updated code

OK… I have a request. I have really enjoyed many of the music tables and recall a music template table by Destruk was used to build many of them. I am inspired to try to make tables, and would like to start by modding existing ones. It would be great to have a fresh music template based upon one of the newer music machines. I have lots of ideas for music-themed tables, incorporating cool artwork tunes themes from the bands and albums, etc. I'd love to give this a try and actually contribute something more to the community than my comments So specifically, my request is for a update of a music table that is easy to mod. Are any of you magic-makers up for the challenge?

32assassin, many thanks for getting me headed in the right direction!  I finally had a chance to play around with this table today and here's what I've got so far.

The bottom of the table isnt warped; the flippers just go in a weird spot on the playfield. :dblthumb:   I've got them evened up now.

I've started replacing that plastics. It took me a few hours of looking at other tables and how the lights work to get the GI lights shine through the plastics.  I think I have it figured out now and can continue placing all the rest of the plastics on the table.

I had to adjust some of the posts because the ball wasn't flowing correctly through the upper spinners and on the main orbit.  Think I've got that just about figured out and fixed.  (Is there an easy way to select a single rubber post?  When I select one, it selects a bunch of them.  Even when I right click and select the proper object it won't select just that one. The only way I've been able to select a single post on this table is to go to edit>select object, then scroll through the list).

I managed to start BLACKOUT mode and IT WORKED!  Well, it kinda worked.  All of the GI lighting went out, but then it never came back on (I had to restart the table to get it to come back on).  Maybe once I get all of the plastics done and have the table playing smoothly we can enlist someone who knows how to add some code to make the GI lighting come back on  at the end of that ball.

Can't thank you enough for getting this to this point, Assassin!  I (fingers crossed) should be able to do everything else except the BLACKOUT mode now.  I think this table is going to play EXCELLENT in VPX!  Can't wait to add it to the VP10 table testing thread.

I did not say your image was warped i said it was missing part of the bottom.  when you add it to VP the image is stretched because of the missing the bottom part.

this is picture of a full PF compared to your PF image. I had to add the red part in order to keep it from warping.

Attached File  DragonPF.jpg   482.7KB   9 downloads

the vp8 table did not have this problem because they did not add most of the apron to the table.

( and they had to add about 5 or six drain triggers because they could not move it down to the apron area)

when you select a single object (such as a rubber)  and every single rubber is selected,  this means that they are part of a group

hold down the shift button and click on the object you want to move or edit to select the single object.

I already fixed the blackout sequence.  I think the code is done.

the only thing I don't know for sure,

is the Knocker suppose to go off every time you add a credit?

the previous tables had this solenoid 14 = credit = Knocker sound

it's annoying as hell!!!!!!!!!
