DjRobx you can make a batch file to start with your frontend, in the script can you change the registry between sound on both tv and back speaker or tv sound off. Talk to Gtxjoe he helped me with my script. Or search for the thread fxaa settings for different tables, then you change the fxaa with sound settings in the registry. Works good for me :)

How about a checkbox on the main table options. I for one never use debug mode. In fact I don't even know how to turn it on

Thanks fuzzel for moving it to the debug window in 840, and that while it will remain active if the debug window is closed, it is non persistant and only effects that player window until it is closed  :dblthumb:

Just curious as I'm about to start a few other projects once mb is finished.

What are we looking at for the development path?

Are you guys planning on adding a bunch of new features for a vp 9.25 release sometime down the road. And continuing on after that with new features.

Or will there be one or two more update releases and then focusing on dx9 rendering.

Just curious

Good question. We haven't talked about that yet. The dx9 port is a big step and the internal structure isn't ready for this. I guess we will continue to release updates on vp9.x and improve everything until we can start switching towards dx9 or opengl.

It's going to be a great day when you guys port to dx9. What about dx11?

I don't even know if it will be dx at all. I'm more a fan of opengl. The reason switching to dx9 was that's the last dx version that win xp supports. If we would jump to dx10/11 a lot of users have to switch over to win Vista or higher. Another reason why we should use opengl ;) But please don't focus/wait too much for this. It won't come that fast and I think you won't see much improvements in the first versions ;)

Oh yeah. Opengl is the way to go. It's more portable. And from all the research I've been doing lately it seems as if it is more powerful and less restrictive then dx.

I know it's a long ways off.

I always dread the limitations of dx7

Thanks for all you guys do.

After mb I'll start developing with the alpha builds again

I often wonder how much better VP can actually get.  It looks and plays so great now, but you great guys keep finding ways to improve it.  Thanks.   Thinking the debug ball stuff should make testing tables so much easier.   Can't wait for MB, YEAH!

It's almost done.

All that is left is the creature flasher, and the mummy flasher.

Then just the details like screws and ramp mounts.

Also going to do a low poly high fps version for low end systems.

The physics are pretty good

@fuzzel: now that we have mouse support in the input code, wouldn't the touchscreen feature that somebody asked before be a piece of cake?

(basically touch is translated to mouse clicks if one doesn't handle it explicitly, right?!)

would be killer to be able to play VP on tablets (even if its only windows based ones)

I am glad someone mentioned the debugger, because I have never bothered to try it out.  One google search later, Simple enough, I can't believe I am not using it  - http://www.public.as...l/Debugger.html

@Arngrim - it looks like you can right click on object and generate events with a click.

Yes the debugger was a savior for me when testing DOF configs.
