Mr. & Mrs. PAC-MAN beta10cm

https://www.dropbox....ta10cm.vpx?dl=0

It's the color mod.

It has redundant and unused images and materials at this point. All original resources are in there but I will release a authentic version in the end.

The maze lights work a little differently. Fainter blue ghost light, and brighter and lively pacman lights. The capture/caught lights work differently depending on if there is already a pacman light lit there.

The plunger is a stock element so use you favorite settings there as well as the flippers, night/day, and visual nudge.

Really nice work on this Shockman. I was lucky to play the real thing a few days ago and can't believe how close your table plays and  feels. In fact I may actually like yours better

Just loaded VPX on my cab, didnt think my cab PC vid card (1GB HD7770)would be beefy enough but it's looking and running really well.  Just having some major rotation issues though.... my native desktop on my main playfield monitor is landscape 1080p. Most tables i have tried rotate successfully but some need the actual desktop rotated to portrait to play in full screen... am i doing something wrong?

Also is B2s supported?  Seems a mix of table state they need UAC access to the B2sserver and if i look at backdrop on the editor i can see some tables include it but are they in 1 file or separate?  Sorry for all the noob questions, feel like i am starting all over again :(

Shockman, I really like the Mr. and Mrs. Pacman table. You did a great job with it. I did have one weird thing happen when I played the latest one. The ball somehow jumped up on top of the apron and rolled around against the glass at the bottom of the apron. I restarted the game and have not been able to duplicate it since. Wondering if you or anyone else had experienced this. Anyway, great table. Thank you.

@rammo
just check the cabinet option in video preferences and all tables should automatically rotate correctly.
or the author forgot to set the fs settings in backdrop options...

db2s is nearly always supported for solid state tables. just change the table script "load controller" line or easier: the controller= variable. but the script should tell you if theres an easy option.
normally you have to download the db2s seperately, because it was already made for the vp9 table.

uac access for the db2s server?! leave uac alone. register the db2s server once with admin rights. that should be it.

I have seen that happen, once, but it was when I first was converting the settings. I guess it's just a rare thing.

I had to lower the top glass hight on a couple of VP10 tables to around 85 and this seems to keep it from happening again.

Thanks

I was surprised to find it at 400. I thought I set it to 90. It will be at 81 next release.

I don't think it's a Windows 10 issue. Scared Stiff looks like that on my cab as well and I running Windows 7. The table is gorgeous just off centered.

Pretty substantial update to Kingpin!

MORE reflections added by dark. He's had these done for a while but I've had a few projects get in the way of the update. Some lighting updates, fixed it all to work with the latest beta (2157)

Minor physics upgrades. Reduced bumper strength and slingshot strengths. Less erratic behavior. Lane guides are improved. Overall feel is improved, I think..

Added new table sounds courtesy of Knorr, from his Dirty Harry table. Same sounds I used on AMH. These are top notch high quality sounds! Flipper, slingshot, bumper, scoop, trough, ball release etc.

As always, credit to:

icpjuggla for the base build and overall look of the table

dark for all of the crazy work he's done on these primitives and textures

vampirolatino for the table redraw

Talantyrr for finishing up the redraw and a few extra pieces

ClarkKent for the updated light inserts

(I know I thanked everyone previously but I don't want this to get lost)

Here's the latest update

The lighting is all rom controlled, it should be white during game play and flash red when you drain, and then during kingpin mode it flashes red and white

Hi everyone,

First post updated, thanks to all contributors.

disclaimer:  All is good but life certainly is nuts.  Although tied up too much the past couple of months, I would always on a semi-regular basis several times per week but the past month has been super busy (for good and ill) so it's once or twice per week.  I will keep updating this thread, but it's a challenge right now.

BTW, I highly recommend whoever is curious about VR to stay the hell away from the Oculus or Steam VR setups.; quite addictive and incredibly immersive.

....

The Scared Stiff table is wonderful. I totally love all those primitives and how the little monsters jump around. so much going on at this table and so beautiful!

I used the same backdrop settings gStav posted for addams family, they don't fit perfectly but good enough to play. You really should add them to the table. I had one issue, that was reproducable 3 times. Everytime i hit the crate, the ball doesn't come out again and i have to restart the game. It also takes long for the ball to reappear when it hits the drain. about 15seconds... The spider on my backglass also doesn't move when i get the "stop the spider mode", don't know if it's my backglass or an issue with the table. I'm using the latest rom you're refering to in the script.

Btw, why is there a VISUAL PINBALL banner? I couldn't find it in the image manager, how do i get rid of it?

Hi Talantyyr, don't know about the spider spinner on the BG as I'm not home to test it, but here's some better tuned FS values for you...

scared.jpg

For the Visual pinball-banner, just click backdrop and select the black TextBox and delete it ;D

@ fripounet

This will fix Scared Stiff in FS view
