I've got a pin cab and kinda know my way around VPX, but not VR. So I'm trying to set this up on my desktop instead of my cab. This isn't as easy as it sounds, because of all the different VR interfaces involved.
Took me forever to figure out how to even launch a game as that doesn't seem to be listed anywhere.
What I've been able to get to work- Without headset on and launching from desktop- start Oculus home, then SteamVR, open VPinballX GL. Open and Start table. Then put headset on.
My issue was I was trying to figure out how to launch everything from a virtual desktop, which I guess is possible but near impossible for me to double click on something with controller.
Anyway,
Absolutely amazing!!!!! I thought my pincab was the shit with all the toys. This is way beyond that.
So my question- Is there a better, easier way to launch pinball tables. I'm used to a front end, so I thought maybe there's someway to launch VPinballX GL with a specific game and create a shortcut. Put that shortcut into one of the VR homes.
And sense I only have one screen, how should I setup b2s backglass display?
EDIT: I've tried associating .vpx files with the VPVR GL exe. But just double clicking on a game doesn't seem to work for me. I think I need a shortcut with some type of modifiers to the Target.
