no I just missed one of the lights when I was scaling the falloff, I corrected it on the one I've been working on with a few other bug fixes but haven't uploaded yet

hey the strobing is rom controlled that's not my fault!

though you gave me an idea, I will add a script that checks the night-day slider and adjusts the GI intensity accordingly

I guess I knew people would want it a bit brighter and should have added that to begin with

Hi,

I have a audio problem since i updated to VP10 .2112. Already posted in the beta thread yesterday, but i have no response and the lack of sound drives me nuts!!

Maybe the development thread was not the right place.

Since then i tried to install an earlier version again, but no audio from the  standard motherboard 3.5 sound output.

The setting in VP10 are set to primary sound driver - VP9 and Physmod versions with the same settings are working fine. I have any idea what happens...

Thank you

TAF not working got an error rev.2112 and rev.2107 test same.
Line 76: Variable not defined 'cvpmTrough'

When you unzip the VPX-beta zip file, you also have to unzip the containing vbs.zip file in your scripsts folder. These new vbs scripts contain the cvpmthrough and other stuff.

Yes i forget to update this !!

TAF works fine ! Nice Table !!!

Thank you so much !!!

Hello,

TAF not working got an error rev.2112 and rev.2107 test same.

Line 76: Variable not defined 'cvpmTrough'

Scared Stiff Spider not working on B2S - in Physmod5 working same B2S.

When i lost the ball, the ball comes only again with ball search.

TFTC is amazing - but ball stutter - I7 8GB RAM GTX750TI (3Mon).

I actually got TAF to work fiddling around with the former wip script. He scripted it a little different and when I erased and replaced that part of the script the game works. Hmm I'll have to try that out with the vbs files.

Are shadows planned in VPX? It would give the tables more depth...

AO is nice for some subtle shadowing but projected shadows aren't something I've seen discussed. Since light sources are not yet actually light sources I'd say we're far off. I'm happy with AO for now I think..

I dont think we are that far away. If its a static shadow it should be possible. I dont know how the upcoming mirror effect does work but i think it should be possible to change it to a subtile black shadow effect...

Sure if you're just talking about shadows from a single light source like that you can fake it easily but that's not very realistic, most of the shadows on a pinball machine come from within the playfield

Having a couple problems with AMH. Table loads up fine as does the DMD. My issues are

No sound at all, have all the mp3 files in the music folder, output is set to the same device, other windows sounds and other tables work fine.

It's not accepting most if not all of my keys, I can't insert a coin/start a game, my plunger button works as I see it moving the plunger. I've tried different keys for coin and start but nothing seems to work.

Also something else I noticed, I guess it's time to upgrade my video card. I have a GTX 460 with a gig of ram and I'm barely able to push 75fps on the dirty harry and a few other vp10 tables :(

Did you double check everything with the readme file because I install this the other day I did exactly what the readme file said and everything worked

Ya, I'm not sure what I could have missed.

I have a music folder within my visual pinball folder and that folder has a bunch of mp3 files in it, I can double click on the files and they play fine in media player. Tried the dirty harry table and sounds play fine there, but its not using mp3 files so i imagine that has nothing to do with it.

Now, I did not have a music folder previously in my vp folder, i wonder if there's a registry setting i have to add to let VP know it's there. I reran setup for vpinmame to set paths but there's no music folder option.

So are you guys debating that on real modern tables you do hear the ball rolling?

All those flashy lights really wash out playfield. Lmao! But seriously ball rolling sounds are very much a huge part of pinball. A vp table without rolling sounds feels less real to me. All my machines balls make sounds when rolling and very noticeable too

I played a few pinball games a few weekends ago (PNE) and even with 200 games running I could hear the ball rolling. I notice more when there is no ball rolling sound. It is like playing VP with no toys.

Thank you

Something must changed with a newer release of VP10. Worked all fine before ver2112.

Needed 2 Days to find out that accessing the Windows audio mixer while a table is running will give you the tablename in the mixer volume setting and the possibility to adjust.

So still trying to get AMH working. If I go under table manager to sounds I can play all the sounds there just fine. Still can't get my start game or insert coin button to work, even though the plunger works and my exit key works.

Anyone have any ideas wanna help me troubleshoot anything?

Edit:

So something new. If I hit the 5 key, it inserts coins and I can hear some of the sounds, no coin sound, but the audio ghost noise that you get when you insert a coin. None of my other buttons still work but if I hit the 1 key the table completely locks up and I have to force quit visual pinball. Ultradmd still works fine when the table locks up though.

edit edit:

so if i remove the music folder from the vp directory, I get the crash about not finding the mp3 files, BUT, the table doesn't crash after pressing 1 anymore. So it looks like it's something to do with loading the mp3 files....
