out of curiosity, why did you trash the first table design?

Gameplay issues, the table was a little too simple, too few playfield 'objects' to make a thorough and complete game. Will still be using 'neon' effects on the current WIP.

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

Do you think anyone will do a release of the new Stern tron table in the future?

Sure, give it about 8 to 10 years.

Two things, one, that pic is too small for me to clearly see the play field.
And two, PD, I hope you are having more drop targets on the left side and on either side of the ones you see up by that blocked out area. that would be cool, make us spell out one long name or saying, then open the ramps or something to that effect! Anyhow it's your pin, it's all up to you...thanks for keeping in the neon look, I liked that in the first one...

Status update: got all the screenshots I think I will need and use for the table captured. Going to try to get the rest of the audio captured this week (I hope). Had some slight delays that I got resolved that kept me from finishing the audio capture, but things are looking real good right now as far as getting that finished.

Also have to do more table design finishing, which includes some textures being implemented. Messing around with metal images to use on table components and want to get the best that I can implemented. biggrin.gif

Current screenshot:

Added metal images for ramps and thanks to faralos added gate images for the two gates next to the outlanes. Added decals for the center drop targets and the circular target above the center drop targets. Also added scoop images temporarily to see how they would look on the table. With permission from an author whose table I got the images from, will make the scoop images permanent. biggrin.gif

Another little update:

Used recognizer images for the right loop spinners. Added Sark's ship for both plastics. Changed skillshot lane due to right slingshot plastic blocking the ball path. Added backboard design. biggrin.gif

very cool looking PD, but what's with all that stuff on the Apron? is that to be a second level somewhere? it looks like it should go into that upper right side...

Aprons are the very unused territory on a pinball table. I just thought it would be sort of an original idea to use one as a playfield as well. biggrin.gif

I have been inspired to use the apron as a playfield by an arcade pinball called Blackwater 100.

Went ahead and started on the upper playfield design. Just got the MCP's head the way I want (possible alterations pending)
