Hola.

Avi, it seems you have a SainSmart device.  You only have 8 relays, so your port must be from 101 to 108 inclusive.

Change the L_FLIPPER_OUTPUT= parameter in the DOFFX2.INI file to the relay your solenoid / contactor is connected to. For example L_FLIPPER_OUTPUT=101

Muchas gracias!! Lo revisare

DOF already does. Hope you can translate French

https://dl.dropboxus...673/Teensy.docx

I can't directly share the link to the English translation here, but links in the doc will take you to the right forum thread.

I should clarify, I was questioning if DDH69's program supports Teensy, as the start of the thread mentions LEDWiz, SainSmart, and PacLed64.

As best I can see the Teensy in DOF is used for addressable LEDs.  DOFFX2 doesn't do anything with addressable LEDs, purely simple switchable outputs and RGB devices.  Happy to look into it, but nothing at present.

Avi,

From the log you posted I can see that DOFFX2 finds the LedWiz device but does not initialise it.  That could well be a bug.  The program should initialise all LedWiz devices then the SainSmart devices.  So the LedWiz should become device #1 and the SainSmart device #2 for DOFFX2.

I do not have this combination so cannot test it myself.  If you are happy to test the combination of devices, then I can send you a test version 2.0 Beta with more logging and we can fix this.  If you want to do that send me a direct message (PM) and I'll start working with you.

Thanks Outhere.  I know you helped test this combination.

I suspect there might be a small bug when the LedWiz is not device ID 0 and I wonder if Avi has that scenario.  I'm just reviewing that section of code and testing the LedWiz stuff to be a bit more thorough on my machine.  In essence the code was assuming the device ID would start from 0, and while it will probably work 99% of the time, its not strictly the right thing to do.

If my testing in this small area goes OK today, I think I'll post version 2.0 as there are a fair number of fixes, and new fun things to use.

Edit: If its what I think it is, then V2.0 will fix it.

OK, version 2.0 is done.  The link is in the first post of this thread.  Thank you to senseless and TerryRed who tested and provided yet more mad ideas.

Version 2.0 fixes some bugs, makes the code a lot more efficient and adds some more fun stuff.

A couple of interesting new things:

  • Messages can be sent from batch, VB script or other applications to perform many functions.  So you can do something easy like QUIT the program, through to turn on outputs or set RGB colours anytime you like.  The messages also allow for ad-hoc parameter reconfiguration meaning you can re-assign keys, outputs etc 'on the fly'.  Here is one way I used this feature.
  • By using game flag files (GAME_FLAG_FILE=) you can continually monitor FP and VP, then by simply having a flag file on disk (TABLEFILE.DOFFX2) you can get flipper force feedback and RGB stuff running for tables that have not been DOF'ed.
  • The supplementary INI files can now be messaged to DOFFX2 while its running

Have a look at the Update Notes for all of the changes.

If you've got a version running at present, you can simply rename your existing EXE before loading this one.  Then if you have any problems simply rename it back in.  Hopefully you won't have any issues, but let me know if you do.

fantastico, celebrar version 2 !

Have you sorted out the LedWiz numbering?  Your LedWiz device / port (DOO) will be from 101 to 132, and the SainSMart from 201 to 208 inclusive.  For your RGB device(s) use the R (red) port number, so if the Red is on 110, Green on 111, and Blue on 112, then always refer to RGB devices in DOFFX2 at port 110.

A Big Thank-you to DDH69 :otvclap:, got version 2 working last night (flippers only for now).  Makes FX2 games actually worth playing to me now.  You should be getting a cut of sales of tables, as I am sure sales are on the rise because of this feature

Avi, DOFFX2 detects the key strokes and doesn't know what FX2 is actually doing.  So pressing the keys regardless of being in a game or otherwise will still activate the flippers, etc.

Hi DDH69,

For me DOFFX2 is working like a charm when i start games outside Hyperspin (with ledblinky), but if i start games directly from the frontend only the leds from my pacled64 are on, everything link to the ledwiz (Contactors, leds ...)  are not working   :(

When I check the logs everything is fine, I can see all of my devices are initialised and keys pressed ...

@davidlinch, four devices - that's the most I've seen with DOFFX2 .... nice.

Hmm, Hyperspin, not sure anyone has tried that with DOFFX2 yet (I'm sure someone will let us know if they have - please do).  Does Hyperspin run either your LedWiz or PacLed64?  My first thought is that Hyperspin is doing something we don;t know about.  I only say that because you describe it as the only difference between working and not working.  Is there anyway to tell if anything connected to the LedWiz is working when you go via Hyperspin?

How are you running DOFFX2?  Is it 'Set and Forget', ie always running?

There will be an answer, we just might be on some new ground - happy to work with you.

Of course, when I start Hyperspin with ledblinky, there is also a leds animation :

2 x Pacled64 = Control Panel Leds Buttons

1 x Ledwiz (Device 1 in Doffx2) = Leds Marquee

1 x KL25z (Device 2 in Doffx2° = only accelerometer

The dof r3 is also working for VP when I start VP from Hyperspin (https://www.youtube....h?v=QUZoRfQzdC4)

I start Doffx2 at windows Start and set to process detect (Pinball FX2,PinballArcade,Future Pinball)
