Ok just for fun I'll work on a downward and an update.

For the downward I'll add lower poly models to the table.  Then I'll shrink all the textures down smaller then they are now.  I'll cut them all in half.  I worry this will make the models and table not be as clear but we will see.  I'll also add an option for no gi to see if that helps people also.

For the update and downward I'll add the dog option to the menu to remove specified sounds and I'll also make the upper rollover gi more transparent so the lights are more visible below.

Since some people can play the table as is I'm going to leave all the high res textures and models in the update

I thougt you made a typo the first and second time, but this can't be a coincidence anymore, but it's dof, for direct output framework :)

Well, my problem is resolved, even the pc killer is running smooth though I have not hit multiball yet. I hope not everyone was as stupid as I was when trying the vsync and regional options by changing them in the global video options instead of the table section. I don't know which helped or which didn't but I got much smoother (I would say near perfect) by adjusting these in the table section itself.

Naturally changing them in the global section is rendered moot by whatever setting is in the table section. Keep this in mind. I gather those with "-1" setting means "use the global settings" but not all of them had -1 ;)
Forgot to add: this really is an awesome table man. The only glitch is sometimes when the ball goes through one of the mummy lanes (the far left one) it keeps bouncing back up so one per game it does this loop thing where by changing the lanes with the flipper, I will get up to something like 15x pretty easily. Also noticed some ball stutter when the ball goes up the plunger lane, probably caused by the white light "Lens" effect maybe?

Ok Excuse my ignorance, but where do you go to change this option? Id like to give it a try.....

I know its partial but after putting down my setting a few posts back, I ran the Windows score on my computer and got a 7.7...with my video cards getting a 7.9.....I just don't understand how this is glitchy

Good news for the update cause i can't have the ball smooth for both versions, with any trial of changing the vp or nvidia config, on win7

Really gorgeous table.  I initially struggled to get it to launch and have tried a number of suggestions found in this thread.  For my rig (I5,  GTX660 Cab) I ended up getting success with the following:

- Low Poly Version

- Static backglass image (no DB2S)

- 16 Bit graphics for VP

- Vsync set to 60

I was able to get around 85 FPS without the Vsync turned on but it wasn't smooth.  With the above configuration I've been able to play multiple games without any glitches or issues.

Since I run my tables via Hyperpin, everything above was easy to configure for this specific table except for the 16 bit graphics.  From what I can tell, you can't choose your colordepth for each specific table.  So, I tweaked my FPLaunch script and added a routine that allows me to set this in the registry on a per table basis at launch time.  Now I have all of my other tables set to 32 bit color and this one launches with 16 bit color.

I'm still looking forward to any tweaks in the table or on VP to make this even better but right now I'm just grateful I'm able to enjoy this creation!  THANKS!

Im running xp on the pckiller with an average of 200fps. I can post my cab specs when i get home. But they are only average. Amazing table. It played perfect with no adjustments but saying that my idea of perfect may greatly differ from others.

DownDate and Update:
Reduced Texture sizes
Added DOF Option
Added Day Option which brightens the playfield
Fixed Rolover lights blocking inserts

DownDate Ver. 1.9
Added the low poly models
Made some of the dynamic models static.
I get a 20 to 30 fps boost on this one

This is the best i can get the table fps
vsync set to auto will help smooth it out if the ball is choppy.
If you use the most recent revision of the vp9.21 beta you can set the vsync per table

The new DownDate Ver. 1.9 now works absolutely fluid on my system (i5 3,4 GHz, GTX 660, 4 GB RAM, Win7 x64). But as you added low poly models I wonder what's the difference to the other version "(LP) 2.1"?? Isn't the DownDate Ver. 1.9 the same as Version 2.1 LP?

The ball in the regular 2.1 hight poly version is still moving slightly jerky over the playfield.

The 1.9 still has mesh bumpers and targets, in the lo version these have all been converted to walls like the old table

My apologizes if this is a stupid question, been out of the scene for a while. Did a search and didn't come up with anything.

I'm getting a 'triggersingleupdate' script error when trying to start this table. I've tried all the versions of this table and it always happens.

Can anyone enlighten me? I'm running the latest VP version 9.1.5.

Thanks

I have the same configuration as ClarkKent but no joy.   Still noticeable stutter on the LP and PcKiller.    Must be a variable that has nothing to do with the power of the machine.   Darn!   I was hoping for best with this new version.    Thanks for your additional work on this Uncle Willy.

Gunner, you can download all the new VP builds from here ..

https://www.dropbox....VPinball Builds

I second naboodiver.  I have a pretty fast machine, just downloaded the newest build of VP and having the same issues also.  I am running Windows 7 so maybe that is the problem?  Really haven't looked too much into it.

The table is awesome even though of the sluggish ball.  Great job and thanks Uncle Willy for the time and effort put into the game.
